ever heard of Marshall Law? Do you know what its like to be stuck in a disaster area for weeks on end with no power, not knowing when you'll get food, or better yet.... waiting in the hot sun on a long ass line, for a gallon of water that comes from a truck??? Accepting food and clothes from the Red Cross... ?? People get restless and greedy... you saw what happened in New Orleans... I lived thru that.. with Hurricane Andrew.. and believe me.. the National Guard responded much faster then than it did for Katrina.. why? Because they were available and not off in the Middle East-- they are there to protect and guide the citizens of their state and ensure that order is kept. Something volunteer workers can't handle.... the National Guard patrols and keeps the order..

Just curious, if the US actually makes all the illegal immigrants leave, who's going to take their place in the workforce? And better yet, who will work for that low of a wage?

ok basically the problem with illegal immigrants is that the only thing they do is dub down our social services. If they go to a hospital and are hurt, the hospital doesnt turn th em away, it just comes out in our taxes. So basically we have to pay for them when they have a baby in a hospital or something. Corporations like to hire illegals because they will work for 3 dollars an hour. The average American doesnt mind working, he just wants to be paid his fair minimum wage. and so with no jobs for average americans unemployment goes up. also illegals dont pay income tax so yea....

 

a fair solution to all of this is......PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO HIRE ILLEGALS!!!! if you throw a buisiness owner in jail for a month per illegal, or fine him 100,000$ per illegal hired, i GARUNTEE YOU illegal workers being hired will drop to NONE. And with no jobs here, they will either be forced to go through a naturalization process like all the other aliens (legal ones) or be forced to leave.

this isn't the topic we were discussing... lol you said they could pick and choose... to become a citizen you have to apply, then take a test.... and interview... then you get picked.... then you get sworn in. We're talking about thousands upon thousands of people who would be affected....... you can't just choose.

It would be unwise to do that, but they can if they wish to do so. thats what i am saying, if the goverment wanted to it could, and do so legally.
