So do you consider yourself to be a true Texan??

More Texan I guess. Although when I go home to visit my mum in Louisiana, my french accent comes out.

Can you speak Cajun??

Moved to Texas when I was 15. I used to be able to speak Cajun french because my grandparents didn't speak much English, but after they died, no one else spoke it so I forgot it all. I love it in London when they have "Cajun" stuff on menus. ahahahhaa It's all so lame and nothing Cajun about it. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

Did you point this out??:P

Yes I did. Some horrid concoction called Cajun Nachos. "What exactly is cajun or even nachoie about this?" they didn't have an answer, just gave me the shut-the-fuck-up-youstupid-fucking-american look. I get that look a lot over there. :laugh3:

What a shame.............................

People there don't care much for Americans. It's not like I'm acting a twat, all they have to do is hear me speak and it starts. Very racist. Pubs are the worse, but the underground is pretty bad as well.

Then it sounds like you should go stay at my godparents'. You wouldn't get any of that there!!

I get a lot of this line " I usually hate Americans, but I rather like you" ahahahhaa is that supposed to be a compliment? OK it's usually from drunks in the pubs, but still.

Sounds like you're visiting the wrong places!!

It's every where in the UK. One day I went to the National Gallery and there happened to be an anti war protest going on at Trafalgar Square which quickly turned into an antiBush/antiamerican rally. I thought I was gonna get killed when I open up my yap and ordered a bottle of water from a vender outside and people there heard me talk. I have learned to just smile and not speak much over there.

Is that in South London? I usually stay around Pimlico area. It quiet and not too touristy. The local shops all know me. :laugh3:

Yes - it's in south London, on the main line from Victoria. My godparents operate their home as a guest house. They're football mad, too. My godfather is a Charlton season ticket holder. If you're ever looking for a friendly place to stay, with the chance of some good food, too, let me know!
