Coldplay Endorse World Cup Song

Rock supergroup Coldplay have leaped to the defence of pals Embrace, insisting their World Cup soccer anthem for the England team is brilliant.

World At Your Feet has attracted a barrage of criticism from other musicians including Sham 69, The Darkness star Justin Hawkins and Richard Ashcroft - who have all recorded rival tunes - as well as New Order.

But Embrace frontman Danny McNamara is happy with the tune, especially after glowing feedback from Chris Martin. He says, "Chris likes it. I played it to him yesterday, actually. He'd already heard it because I'd sung it to him down the phone a while back, and he remembered it word for word, which is pretty cool. I suppose that means it's good to sing along to."

i actually dont mind that song...the video is good made i think and its not a bad song to sing along...but i think its because well...england's football song will always be three lions and thats that!

I haven't heard that soccer tune yet..

It's kinda funny how Danny McNamara and Chris Martin support each other in public ^^ Danny says good things about Chris and then Chris helps Danny out of criticism.. Very nice :D
