Again, it's all about interpretation, but I think he's saying, you know, "We're together in everything" or something like, "You and me [should be 'I' but we'll let Chris slide!] are so happy, we're just in our own little world" hence why they're drifting on a tidal wave, or going into outer space... to be alone. Personally, if it is about the end of the world, it's very un-Coldplay. Their songs aren't as sad as they're made out to be. Most of them are about how great it is to be in love.

For example, "I'm fighting with my weak hand" represents boxing, and in Yellow the stars their singing about i think are supposed to be lights on a football stadium. If you think about it, there is NO way Coldplay can not be sports fanatics, as is demonstrated in their music. And please spell 'come' right. 'Cum' is... not the right word. ;)

July 6, 200620 yr Author I wish I could work it out that's the Hardest Part I guess YELLOW x&y the line: ...look at the stars, look how they shine for you x&y everything that you do, they were all YELLOW x&y blue... means STARS as in artistic musicians, film, writers, playwrights, Hollywood actors/actress x&y perhaps even sportspeople eg. soccer, Olympics, State Of Origin rugby league etc. They are the stars, imitating us humans in films, music, paintings, literature, theatre, writing, stage, cinema, sportsfields...doing things we'd only dream of, representing the very best of our dreams, hopes, fears strengths x&y weaknesses. Like in whatever version of 'Talk' it is that he asks if your 'scared of the third world war.' I mean..these are all things that people think and wonder about. It doesn't mean that he set out and said, 'Okay, X&Y will be about the end of the world.' He just writes whatever is in his head and it comes out how it comes out.

The rain burns little holes on the things it falls into, x&y crow feathers protrude from the holes. Finally a tornado grabs the house x&y lifts it from its foundations placing it along others in a more suburban setting.
