Featured Replies

Still aggravating somebody with your rants in this post too? :/

Some of the replies to the initial post have been weird lol.

Come on...

We can interpret all those songs in our own ways...

It depends on loads of things, personnality, beliefs, own experiences, and so on...

The only one who knows what all these songs mean is Chris himself...(obvious...)

Why don't you ask Debs on the official board?

(maybe she won't answer anyway... she doesn' t have time to)

Let me be the one who agrees with james.xy.blunt

I think most songs are about the end of the world and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I certainly don't think all songs are about romantic love or something like that.

Coldplay goes much deeper then that.

Otherwise I would not like them that much :)

Greets,

and thanks for james.xy.blunt for his thoughts on the songs.

Hi Parachutes2007, and welcome to the coldplay forums. Have fun!

Well i think all of Coldplays songs are open to interpretation, but i think the song X&Y is about love: "You and Me", but its a tough relationship, and there are disagreements: "Trying hard to speak", "So part of the plan". He mentions a tidal wave, as apposed to them floating on a calm sea, which i think is a metaphor for their relationship - its a thrilling ride, but its fierce and far from peaceful. Just to name a few points.
