My Coyotes jersey just came today. It's a shame they traded Yanic, so now my jersey has the name Perrault on the back (not Perreault), which is actually supposed to be for Joel Perrault who still plays for them, but it's got his number 94, so I don't care. =D

I don't think the Habs will make the playoffs, and if they do I don't think they will go anywhere without Huet.

Which jersey did you get? The white or sand red one?

I hope Montreal makes the playoffs. When is Huet scheduled to come back?

Why, red, of course. :)

That is one of my favourite jerseys in the league, I love it. But I don't like them as much as I did when they had Nagy.

Well he was practicing yesterday. They were originally saying out for the regular season but now they're hoping a little before then.

according to you they go gained against Maple Leaf

Both Carolina and the Islanders lost last night, good news for the Canadiens.

Montreal is currently 2 points out of 8th place. The only bad thing is they have played one more game than most teams.

I Know but ...

Huge game tonight against the Leafs.

Is 25 games the entire season?

Cause to be honest he should get the full year. That was disgusting.

The season is 82 games long, so no that isn't even half a season.

Quite the game between the Leafs and Canadiens last night. Unfortunately all I reall saw was the first period because well...I guess I fell asleep hahahaha. I was pissed at myself because it was super exciting too.

What do you guys think of this? Suspension worthy or no?

Thanks I was looking for a video of that.

Suspension worthy? For sure, tootoo is a little punk running around knocking guys down. That isn't even solid tough hockey, thats just being being a little jerk.

I mean first of all the hit on Modano was questionable and shows he has no respect. And the gloved punch to Robidas face, thats just a disgrace.

Yeah, he should get suspended for that. But I don't understand something. When Bertuzzi punched Moore he got a long suspension. How is this any different? Maybe Robidas didn't suffer any terrible injuries like Moore did but is the NHL basing the suspensions they hand out based on the injury the player suffers?

NHL suspends Tootoo five games for punch to face of Robidas

tootoo_82542.jpgTORONTO (CP) - The NHL has suspended Nashville Predators winger Jordin Tootoo five games for his punch to the face of Dallas Stars defenceman Stephane Robidas.

Robidas was knocked unconscious on the play late in the third period of Saturday night's 3-2 win by the Predators at Nashville.

Robidas, who was coming to the defence of star centre Mike Modano, was assessed a minor for charging on the play, and Tootoo received a double-minor for roughing.

Robidas was carried off the ice on a stretcher and was taken to hospital. He's out at least a week after sustaining a concussion.

"In reviewing this incident, Stephane Robidas appeared to be initiating a confrontation by approaching Jordin Tootoo," NHL senior executive vice-president and director of hockey operations Colin Campbell said in a statement. "While a player is entitled to defend himself, Mr. Tootoo's forceful blow to Robidas' head was an overly aggressive and inappropriate response.

"The fact that Mr. Tootoo's actions resulted in an injury to his opponent also was a factor in this decision."

Tootoo, 24, has three goals, four assists and 104 penalty minutes in 61 games this season. Robidas, 30, has 17 assists and 82 penalty minutes in 71 games this season.

I'm not sure what their standard is now. I don't think this was nearly as bad as Bertuzzi since it wasn't from behind and it wasn't premeditated. But yeah, the NHL blew the Bertuzzi suspension really bad. And really so did the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) allowing him to play in the Olympics.

Yes they are and they better get their act together. It shouldn't matter how badly someone is hurt, the intent to injure was there and it's only a matter of time before something really terrible happens. What will they do, God forbid, if someone is killed or crippled for life. Don't think it can't happen. I don't know how old you guys are, but there was a stick swinging incident years ago between Ted Green and Wayne Maki. Not pretty. Maki is dead now. I, m trying to remember if the stick incident may have contributed to his death. It probably didn't help him any.

Just googled to get facts straight. Both players were involved in the stick swinging incident, but Maki's attack was extremely vicious. Green was left with a brain injury, paralyzed and near death and no hope for recovery. But after a year of rehab and with a plate in his head he returned to the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup in 1972. He then jumped to the WHA for a few years, then went on to coach for a while. Maki was also injured, but not as badly. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1972 and died in 1974 at age 29. Coincidence?

Who knows.

^Yeah I remember hearing about it. Its a shame really.

I think that the league is going to have to continue coming down tough on this nonsense.

This type of violence has been going on for decades. It's nothing new. I think very lengthy suspensions are the answer, not fines. It's no fun sitting on the sidelines.

Yeah fines don't accomplish anything. It just means they don't have as much to play poker with on the flight home.

Apparently Todd Fedoruk got knocked out in a fight tonight. I'm starting to turn into an anti-fighting person. But I mean what is the point of having something in the game that isn't really necessary and where people can get seriously injured?

Huge win for the Habs tonight. :) 5 unanswered goals to comeback and win.

All we need now is for the Sabres to destroy the Leafs tomorrow.

Tomorrow and Saturday. heh I always love winning doubleheaders, though Toronto is gonna make it hard for us. Our home games are practically away because there's so many freakin Leafs fans at the HSBC Arena.
