The Leafs shouldn't have blown a lead like that...especially in the tight race for a playoff spot. I guess they don't want to win that bad. :P

GO HABS GO!

Yes, go Montreal! Make the playoffs!

^Thanks for the support.

We won again tonight wooo! But Carolina, Toronto, New York, and New York all won.

BE NICE NOW

Yeah Leafs fans are like mosquitos. They're everywhere and they're annoying.

Come on, not all Toronto fans are annoying--on the other hand my brother is a big Leafs fan and he can be annoying at times:laugh3: .You should see his basement--you would probably loose your cookies--it's painted Toronto blue, is completely covered in Toronto pics, lights, anything you can think of, and of course the Leafs mini fridge. Even his Xmas tree has all Leaf decorations. The Leafs are not my team, but I will root for them over the Habs. Montreal gives me the cramps:lol: . My team is out of the picture:cry: . You can probably guess who it is. Fans of my team will always support the Leafs over the Habs. All joking aside--I hope the playoffs give us some exciting hockey. It's the greatest sport in the world.:smug:

Haha on a whole I find Leafs fans annoying. I mean yeah the Janssen hit was bad but since it happened to a Toronto player it got massive media attention.

I just find Leafs fans think they have the best team in the world and know everything about hockey. And they revel too much on the year 1967. They haven't done anything worth writing home about since then.

The last Habs cup was in 93', but I don't think we really revel in that too much. Montreal fans are the most demanding and hardest to please. I mean we gave Brisbois heart troubles a few years back by booing him so much. (The stress got to him)

And I'm trying to figure out who your team is. Boston perhaps?

Hurricanes lose? Check

Rangers lose? Check

Islanders lose? Check

Lightning lose? Check

Habs win? YEAAAAAAAAHHHH BABYYYY

Haha, good for Montreal. 2 points ahead now :)

In other news... Canucks shut out the Avs. Just finished watching that game. Clinched a playoff spot AND one point ahead of the Wild for that NW title! :D

Very Good

Boston is right. The fans and media in Montreal are tough. I think Toronto fans know the game pretty well. Hey, I'm female and I know a lot about hockey.:smug:

I like hockey trivia, but I'll admit I lost some interest in the game with expansion. Fortunately, it seems the teams now are more competive--makes it more interesting.

I think Toronto fans do know the game pretty good, but a good chunk of them are disillusioned and don't realize how bad their team actually is. If they make the playoffs they will be easy prey for Buffalo. (I think Buffalo will finish 1st)

And that is pretty cool you are female and know alot about hockey. I like girls like that ;) haha

But yeah you're a Boston fan? No wonder you hate the Habs. They've pulled off a few upsets in the playoffs in the past few years.

Hey the Habs are only 2 points ahead of Toronto so they're no great shakes either.:laugh3: Buffalo is really playing well--so are Pittsburgh. I was reluctant to go into "The Lounge"--but I don't mind it now--everyone is so nice--I don't feel out of place. If To make the playoffs they might surprise you.

I see where Huet may play on the weekend--or so it said in the paper. I don't think he's 100% yet--just reading between the lines.

Yeah, the Habs caused me a lot of grief over the years, but I was happy in 1970 and 72----God it's been a long time.

Don't know your age, but it's been a while since I,ve been called a girl;) .

Thanks:).

Oh, most of the members on here are from post-72 hehe, myself included. So I just assumed you were in that age group.

The thing that seperates Montreal from Toronto is Montreal has a killer PP, and special teams make a big difference in the playoffs.

Hurricanes lose again! WOOO

Buffalo wins again! We're only 4 points from clinching the conference now. :D

Oh, and I'm going to the game on Friday.

Nice, who are they playing?

New York Islanders. As in, Ryan Smyth and company, extremely desperate for a playoff spot.

Oh hey I get to see Miro Satan again haha. Too bad the whole crowd will boo him whenever he gets the puck. He used to be my favorite when he played for Buffalo.

Well I hope that the Sabres kick their ass and bury there dreams of a playoff berth.

Too Old? I think not.

Hey, you shouldn't assume anything:laugh3: . Age is just a state of mind. Don't assume The Habs will make the playoffs, and if they do, don't assume their PP will still be "killer". The playoffs are a new season and you know anything can happen. I'll be rooting for Pittsburgh and Sid The Kid(I think you were dissing him on one of your posts--calling him a whiner). Give him a break, he's only 19 and he has to put up with a lot of crap. He does whine a bit but I've seen worse. He's very mature for his age, doesn't make excuses and shows a lot of class. Besides he's from my home province:).

Cheers, Judy

Haha yeah, hes from across the harbour. I think we may live in the same province ;) I do think that he is a very talented player, but his whining and diving gets on my nerves.

And you say the playoffs are a new season BUT having a good power play all regular season isn't going to just disappear as soon as the post-season hits.

The Same Province

Oh a boy from the Capital City.:) His whining and diving? Remember Claude Lemieux? What an ass he was. Every time he went down --and it was plenty--he always came up holding his mouth--he was never really injured--just liked to play the part. Maybe he's before your time:lol: . I remember him well--and never liked him. There were only two players on the Habs I ever liked and they both wore #19.

Now you know a team may play well all season, have everything going --but bow out early--Ottawa has done it a few times.

My sister and her husband, and my niece and her family also live on the other side of the harbour. My brother is in the Navy and lives about 30 minutes from the Capital. They all hate Montreal too.:laugh3:

Don't take offense. We all live and die with our favourite teams. Are you a person that really gets into a game? I make up words for penalties(I,m pretty good at calling them) but they couldn't be printed here. haha

I only really get into Habs games. I like the Flames alot too but I don't live and breathe them like the Habs. Just watching them play makes me nervous and every missed shot, good chance, BS call, amazing save I usually let a yelp out.

With Claude Lemieux I only really remember his time on the Devils and on the Avs. And the one incident I do remember was him and Kris Draper in the playoffs. Dirty dirty player. Thats what really started the hate between the Wings and Avs.

Devils fire Julien in a surprise move

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CP) - Lou Lamoriello is back behind the bench in New Jersey.

The playoff-bound Devils have fired head coach Claude Julien with less than a week to go in the regular season with the veteran GM Lamoriello taking over for the second straight season.

Lamoriello also stepped behind the bench last season after Larry Robinson stepped down as coach in December.

The surprising move Monday comes with the Devils second in the Eastern Conference with a 47-24-8 record and 102 points. The Devils have won four of their last five games, including Sunday's 3-1 win over Boston. They went 6-6-2 in March while battling key injuries to Brian Gionta, John Madden and Patrik Elias.

Julien, a former Montreal Canadiens coach, took over the Devils on June 13, 2006, after Lamoriello relinquished the coaching duties. It's reminiscent of the 1999-2000 season when the Devils fired head coach Robbie Ftorek on March 23 and went on to win the Stanley Cup under Robinson that spring.

Eastern Conference Champions...damn that's sweet. Now we need to win that Cup!
