i've lately watched the film "Hooligans" starring Elijah Wood (lol) ...

and i just wanted to know if it really is like that in england?

do those groups of hooligans really exist that go out and fight with another group just for fun?

and do people really get killed?

was it just an extreme demonstration of the facts?

i don't get it.

did anyone else watch that film?

thank god that there aren't any riots caused by hooligans this year.

Only riots are when it's derbys (Man United vs Man City; Portsmouth vs. southampton), but normally we don't riot :)

more a demonstration of the footballing past, and what they were upto in the seventies and eighties.

 

Dougie & Eddie Brimson, Cass Pennant, and Michael Francis, amongst others, have al written about football hooliganism. And some of them should know what they're talking about as they've served time for their own hooliganism.
