haha everyone BUT the US does metric...i think they tried to convert in the 40s or 50s but it failed terribly. my parent's are from out of the country so they still use metric sometimes and im like...what?! i always need help converting measurements and stuff.

but canada IS america! :P kidding, kidding. dammit, i can't remember if they do use celsius and metric up there. do y'all tracie?

edit.yeah norfolk's in virginia :D. um the coldest it's gotten here in houston for winter is like...30 F, usually it's about 40F and warms up to about 50-60. we don't really have much of a winter haha

Nope, you will find Norfolk is acutally in the UK :laugh3:

New Norfolk is in Virginia :smug:

America is weird :|

hahaha, just like about half of the eastern shore's cities. we actaully have a paris, rome, venice, and i think a london, texas. haha :P

That's because americans are lazy, and can't think of any new place names.

Ever been to Andover, USA?

I was 15 when we went 'officially' metric in schools, so I'm fairly handy with both Metric and imperial...getting rusty as I get older though.

A good way to guess C to F is take your celcius temp, double it and add 32. You'll be off by a couple of degrees but it's close.

It's 31 celcius...so that makes 62 plus 32 is...TOO FRICKIN' HOT!!!!!

(oh yeah, 94.)

I have my cell phone for such weird situations...program converter. So it's much, much easier for me :D ...

This could be its own thread, but Ontario has a Kingston, London, Paris, Athens, Frankfurt, Orleans,...I never thought Canadians were so lazy too...lol!

haha we're "heavily influenced" from other countries. but we're techinically an immigrant country, with no real actual AMERICAN culture, except for those that make up the population which is extremely diverse.

nope, never been to Andover. *looks up which state it's in*

thanks for the little trick tracie! it'll be useful on these boards :)
