I don't know the details...only what he's said in interviews but I think it's something to do with the amount of time they spent away from each other!

 

I know that before the 2001 Q awards they split up and he was really upset, got drunk and made a *** of himself and ended up running out of the awards and hiding in a railway station (!) :lol: :/
