this is a pointless thread for the Aussies. who watch channel 10 hehe

so far in his quoteing ads his bagged Coldplay twice, once was something about Apple's name and about Gwyneth (can't remeber) and the second time he said that coldplay are just like U2 without the spirit.... not very nice, what do you think will you even watch his show when it starts....

hey i just saw the ad again, as far as im concerned i dont like that show if all it does is pay out people. im sorry but the world could do witout aonther one of those crap shows!

The first time I saw the coldplay/u2 ad my brother started laughing. I said it's not funny and he said I wasn't laughing at that, I was laughing at your face. I said you can't even see my face and he said yes but I can imagine it lol.

hahaha...when the ad came on my sister was like omg look at your face, you dont look impressed!

I was so angry when I heard it. I heard the show is made by Andrew Denton, wasn't Chris on his show earlier this year? what kind of person interviews someone and is nice then bags them out behind their back a few months later!? I certainly not be watching this show

are you serious that its made by andrew denton? really? i think the humor (if thats what some people call it) is really under the belt. he also went on this weeke to payout lyeton hewitt (i cant spell it) i mean i dont love the guy (hewitt) but i dont agree with shows that disregard people for the sake of laughter at someone expense. i also felt sorry for pat rafter ( i dont know why he decided to go on that show) but i know he's i nice guy and would think of hewitt as a 'knobhead' as tench put it. no offence to any americans out there, but i dont agree with that sort of crap american humor, its not appriecated in australia!

yeah show was below par-- it was only good when he said about Hewitt: "you love it when he wins cause he's Australian, and you love it when he loses cause he's a knobhead" LMAO so true he he

i didn't watch it.. we were watching something else at the time but i think i want to see an episode to see how it is. my pre-judgement says that it will be stupid and "im trying too hard to be funny, that's why i'm not". but i dunno.. it could be alright... i'll have to watch it someday.

when the commercials for it first came on, i remember him saying that he was hte one who told gwyneth to call her child apple and that he didn't think she would take him seriously. i thought 'okay, everyone mocks the name, he's just joining in' and then there was the commercial where he says he likes coldplay, 'they're u2 w/out the spirit'. the first time, i didnt quite catch wat he had said, but then i realised and i was like "hold up! thats rude!" and my family just laughed at me every time the commercial aired...

did he say the coldplay thing in the first episode??

Not going to watch the show at all. I saw the ad when compared them to U2 and was really angry. So I'm not even going to bother watching it. Don't like it when they put people down just to get a laugh. Rude. Especially when it's Coldplay.

Yeah but it's not serious in the end. I was mad at the ad too but I watched the show and it's just harmless humour. At least he didn't call them knobheads haha.

yeah I am pretty sure it is made by Andrew Denton or his company.Whatever it is he has somthing to do with the show and it being produced.

I saw the ad and it annoyed me. Can't they pick on a band that is actually bad. If they can't say anything nice dont say anything at all!

But it's just a joke, and you're letting an animated dude get to you lol. ;)

i don't watch it but i must admit the coldplay-U2 comparison made me laugh but only because he's an animation with an oddly-shapped face and american accent trying to be funny then laughing at his own jokes which is so sad it's funny.

i bet you it won't last very long just like that utterly crap yasmine's getting married like what were the ten producers thinking? or more, why weren't they. the only thing pulling it through is the celebrities that go on there.

I watched a bit of the show last week when Nelly Furtardo was on and to be honest, the humour doesn't appeal to me at all. It has nothing to do with the Coldplay comments at all, but it's just not my type of humour...

^^ exactly the same for me i dont like that type of humour at all!

Haha I heard channel 10 is still gonna pay for her wedding...if she ever gets married. How desperate. :laugh3:

Yasmine's Getting Married was the saddest show ever... Ch10 could not have seriously thought it would be a hit show...

just_cass, that typical American humour bugs me. I like Aussie or Brit humour, and some American ones, but not hte typical American humour that Tench has...

what is with the american accent though? is tench based on a real person from the states 'cause i don't know about that.

^^ lol yes, if and when. her face is all over magazines so she cant esape the humiliation. Ten may spoil her for putting her (not to mention us) through it. Ten may even televise the potential wedding and prove us wrong that tv quality couldn't get any worse

even Rove thought it was terrible. Ten productions vs Ten productions that's a show

^^ how long was that yasmin show on for? i remember hearing about it coming on i think i flicked past it once, but now that you guys mention i cant remmber the last time i heard about it

little miss clumsy - ahh i thought it was american humour you can alway tell when its like in the international comedy galas i never find them funny (many time quite the opposite), i like brit humour too!

^ yeah the Amercian comedians get less laughter in galas usually... but for example Arj Barker has good humour, becuase it isnt really typical US humour.

i think yasmin's getting married was on for like, 2 or 3 episodes? possibly four? it was a big flop.

lol well i glad i didnt watch any shows, i hope david tench is a flop too!

arj barker he's a gret comedian,

He is. i reckon he's one of hte best American comedians... i think that overall, the best Aussie comedian is Carl Barron. i saw him in his 'best bits of my two dvds' show and he's really funny.
