August 8, 200619 yr Hi guys! Last week I got a RAZR V3 from my dad. I'm having a lot of fun making ringtones and setting Coldplay pictures as my wallpaper (thanks Geek Squad!) and, of course, taking pics. However, I would like to take longer video clips. As of now, the maximum recording time for my video clips is 5 seconds. This distresses me greatly, as it is said the max recording time is 15 minutes. The manual says to change MMS settings but I can't find that in the videos menu. I may have to take said phone in to get it figured out, but before I do that, I was wondering if maybe any of you knew how I could change the settings to increase video recording time. Anything helps. Thanks a million bajillion illion in advance!
August 8, 200619 yr ive got a razr v3 pink, my vids are usually about 10, 12sec... havent tried changing though, but 5 sec is way too little..
August 8, 200619 yr Author Maybe you are out of memory' date=' try reducing the resolution.[/quote'] I did try this, but only got 3 seconds longer recording time. It says I have used 10% of memory, but that may be because I put two MP3 ringtones on the phone that I don't want to delete, but the rest are default pictures and videos and sounds. D:
August 8, 200619 yr Could be the mp3, they take quite a lot of memory(for mobile phone standards), though I'm not sure, my motorola is c261
August 8, 200619 yr My V3C can record 15 second clips, and I remember having to change some settings before it did that.
August 9, 200619 yr Author Could be the mp3' date=' they take quite a lot of memory(for mobile phone standards), though I'm not sure, my motorola is c261[/quote'] It might be, but I don't know anything about how the clips are recorded, so I can't say if that's what's causing the problem. I have 90% memory left, so... hm. My V3C can record 15 second clips' date=' and I remember having to change some settings before it did that.[/quote'] V3C is slightly different than the V3, but I can't tell how so. Can you remember what settings you had to change and where they were located?
August 10, 200619 yr Alright... All I did was go to the video camera, hit the top left most button labelled options, then i went to video camera setup, then i went to video length and put it at maximum.
August 10, 200619 yr Author Alright... All I did was go to the video camera' date=' hit the top left most button labelled options, then i went to video camera setup, then i went to video length and put it at maximum.[/quote'] Hmm, I don't have that option. This is weird. All the sites I've checked have all said it has to change in certain options, but when I go to said options menus, there isn't the option to change. ...option. (I couldn't resist.) Grrrr. As much as I love my new phone this is kind of pissing me off. :\ The advice is excellent, but I just can't see any of the buttons they say to push.
August 13, 200619 yr Author Okay, I know what it is. It's the service I'm with. I need to talk to Customer Care about it. Does anyone use T-Mobile with their RAZR and know how they can fix this, if they managed to? :/
August 13, 200619 yr Videos have nothing to do with the servers. I know why. V3C's were made with more drive space than the regular V3's were, and were designed more for video and picture taking, therefore having longer video clips.
