Has anybody here used any of those sites and actually found out something about their heritage?

i havent, but if anyone know of any good sites let me know please! it would be awesome to trace my family back as far as possible.

id like to trace my family as far as possible too...i know that i think my mum has some spanish roots or something but i dunno

No, but I would love to try one. I know my great-grandmother is Irish and somewhere way back in our family there's Scottish blood.

my father did it with his cousin and they found my family till about 1560

we tried it and got to the 1700s. our family is scottish and irish so we tried the official scottish heritage site. you have to be prepared to pay though i'm afraid...

yeah, my father had to pay for it cause its private stuff and not everybody is allowed to see it unless you pay for it.

I am a Geordie-Scottish-Gypsy-Southern English hybrid thing...:P
