So I found this person selling Coldplay DVD bootlegs...

It really sucks that he sells this stuff, and I'm not here to promote him, but I am pretty curious, are these dvds widely available? I found him while looking for Keane tickets. His list of dvds is quite massive, so I'll just show the Coldplay stuff, dunno if the descriptions he gives is enough to know if thse are shows that are available. His prices are rather re-god-damn-diculous too:

(#7082) (V) ColdPlay * 22-Jan-03 Miami, FL 100 $26.00 9- 1st gen, real close, nice show

(V) ColdPlay 13-May-03 Dublin, Ireland (Pro) 105 $26.00 10 pro-shot,mint,must have

(#7382) (V) ColdPlay 02-Jun-03 Hollywood, CA 120 $26.00 9 close, nice, 1st gen.

(V) Coldplay 01-Jun-05 London UK 120 $26.00 10 Pro-shot, mint new/old stuff nice

(#7914) (V) Coldplay 25-Jun-05 Glastonbury,UK 90 $25.00 10 Pro-shot, mint new/old stuff, recommended

(V) Coldplay * 06-Sep-05 MSG, NYC 108 $26.00 9/9- Head to knee,close,wild crowd,new/old stuff

(#8209) (V) ColdPlay * 25-Mar-06 NJ Meadowlands 90 $25.00 9 2 cam mix, awesome, last show of tour!

i'm always wary of anything that isnt official when it comes to forking out some cash! lol

The first one (Miami, FL one) is available as is the third (Hollywood, CA), fifth (Glastonbury) and the last one (New Jersey) though that wasn't the last show of the tour.

Never heard of the second or fourth.. and looking at Coldplay's past tour dates, I don't even see anything written for either 2003-05-13 or 2005-06-01. I wonder if those show dates even exist?

And as for the 6th, there's only an mp3 audio recording widely available, not a DVD.

Nobody should buy them. It's a disgrace.

it is pretty messed up, but at least finding new sources or an unreleased source is good to know about. Means they could possibly show up in trades. This guy has a list of shows that was over 100 pages in a word document of many many bands..

I saw bootleg X&Y DVDs last summer. Couldn't have been more than 3 weeks after the album release.

I like what REM said about bootlegs many years ago. They said they don't mind their true fans having access to the things the label wouldn't release, but, as Peter Buck put it 'Bootleggers, mind your quality'. I think they're ok, as long as they're not something you can buy officially and the quality's good. Oh, and as long as they're not a rip-off of something that's available for charity.

I don't think it's right for anyone to try to make money out of them. At least people offer stuff for free on here. That's how it should be.;)

True. You don't need to buy over-priced, poor quality crap if you have a membership here...but not everyone knows that...yet!!!

It's really a disgrace! Sellings such DVDs should be forbidden!
