Different Inuit style of art are carvings, sculture and art prints.

Inuit Sculptures are mainly made of whale bones, soapstone, tusks, musk ox horn and cast stones. they are carved with hunting material, saws, ases. hammers. chisels, penknifes and nails. They represent the wildlife, inuit hunting and family scenes, spiritual figures and natualism.They also commemorate or celebrate oustanding people, places or events. Carving of animals is commonly used. Every community have their own style of carvnings. They all use mostly black and polished. They use a lot of realism and surrealism. It focuses alot on spiritual or shamanic themes. They sometimes exagerate with details.

The most famous sculpture is the inukshuk. It has an important role. The ancient people use to make them for hunting caribou. The hunters would hide behind it with the women would make the caribou walk towards the inukshuk. Today, it is used as a landmark instead of hunting.
