George Bush Assassinated!!!

Featured Replies

I actually saw a picture from this in the paper today but before I even had the chance to read it, I thought it was real and couldn't help wondering why it wasn't all over the news...then I read the story and now I know...wow that was really pointless....

But in some roundabout way, I immediately just thought that nobody cared that he'd been shot......

A scene from the More4 drama Death Of A President, which portrays the assassination of President George W Bush at a Chicago rally in 2007. The White House has refused to comment on the programme, saying "it does not justify a response".

Actually Nearly everytime a president has been elected every 20 years or so hes died in office.

1960, Kennady, 1940, Roosevelt, 1920 - Harding? (i cant remember) all the way to Lincoln and beyond.

Maybe Reagan broke the Jinx?

Anyway whether or not you like the bloke, its not very nice to joke about him dying. or wanting him to.

^true...

I've never wished the man dead.. but the film seems interesting none the less...

for an Independant (as you claimed) you sure do side with the Republicans a lot... I am a registered Dem.. but doesn't neccisarily mean I vote for them just because they are my political party affiliate.... in order for my vote to count.. I have to pick a party.. ergo my Democratic registration... ;) simply because the Dems tend to favor the middle to lower class American... the blue collar workers' date=' minorities and such... viva la raza! :P[/quote']

for and independant as you claim you sure side with the democrats and extreme liberals alot...

This will become a record breaking must-see clip on Youtube.

Seriously.

for and independant as you claim you sure side with the democrats and extreme liberals alot...

but I also give reason to some Reps.. thats the differnce between you and me... :)

You seem to think the Rep. are the only good thing and Dems. are shit....

but thats neither here nor there-- quit picking a fight with me.. and stick to topic..

 seriously schitzo boy.... :laugh3: You're killin' me!!!! -- what are you on.....? :laugh3:  :laugh3:

i can only laugh when i hear you say that liberals screw things up so badly. Clinton was one of the best presidents ever. Yea its SO bad that we had the highest surplus's in the history of the country, employment was up, and we werent destroying any foreign countries.....thats so rediculous!!! You are right, republicans are the way to go! Bush sure has proven himself!

But this diff between you and i is that i can admit it when there is a good republican in office, (these days they seem to be a bunch of lying cheats) but look at Bush senior. He and Clinton should be Co-presidents!!! they are both excellent men and presidents. Look at how they worked together after Katrina, or 9/11, i dont remember which, but they were both heading a relief organization! THAT is what this country needs. We need to stop being so divided on everything. Half of the country cant stand the other!!

I am an avid history buff, and civil war reenactor. I like to study that time period because it is one of the most trivial and forgiving time periods in history. Had the North just boasted up after its victory over the confederacey and treated them like rebels, we would have been looking at the same type of thing twenty years down the road (another rebellion). But because of the North's gesture of embracinng(sp) the south back into the Union, it quelled the hard feelings about the war....This is what i am talking about, in this time of trial we are facing, we need to be united, not divided as we are now.

oh and by the way, i bet you would assume that i am a union reenactor, i actually am a strong believer in the cause of the southern states, and i therefor reenact for the confederacey!:shocked2::D:wink3:

BUSH SENIOR!!!!!

What!! He and Clinton Co-presidents!!!

They are already best pals and Hilary calls George W one of her sons. There's only one choice in America!! "Neo-Demolicans"! Vote for either side and you will have the same outcomes, war, police state, more war, martial law....

SHIT!

WE WOULD BE COMPLETELY AND OFFICIALLY FUCKED IF THAT EVER HAPPENED

i dont believe bush senior was a bad pressy at all, LIGHTYEARS better than monkey Bush, he is possibly the worst president ever. Senior and Clinton are two of the best

I have to strongly disagree with you on that. Strongly.

Sure George W is a puppet on a string but Clinton and Bush Senior, now those guys would have sold us to slavery by now.

They already pull on Bush's strings to make him dance.

But it's your opinion, your entitled to it.

do you just not like any of the political figures today?? who DO you like?

you're not supposed to like politicians.

i agree that you shouldn't wish anybody dead, that's fucked up.

thanks to clinton looking the other way terrorism is a major threat now, and him cutting funding to the CIA, NSA and FBI and the military only hurt our nation. he's one of the worst presidents we've had in awhile.

the side doing the dividing is the left, perfect example the Iraq war, by trying to cut and run its dividing the nation.

wait what? you believe in the cause for the confederacey? thats pretty bad. im going to assume you dont believe in slavery, because you seem like a nice non racist dude, but as far as the other things they stood for...thats not good.

do you just not like any of the political figures today?? who DO you like?

Of course I don't like political figures like Bush, Blair, Chaney, Clinton, Bush Senior, Olmert, Kim Jong Ill....the list goes on....

They are all a bunch of corrupt, lying criminals and have been proven so on many occasions. I hate them and all that they stand for.

Why woud I feel anything for sub-human scum like that?

The Clinton and Bush Senior thing is just plain madness. How anyone could come to such a conclusion is mind boggling.

They were both on opposite sides of the political spectrum yet they now are the best of friends and all the things they fought against eachother so hard on are all forgotten.

Neither side can be blamed anymore.....there is no "other" side because "Democrat" and "Republican" candidates are always big fakes.....they put a great "show" on, debating on TV and calling eachother names.....yet they both work for the same corporate big wigs.....it's a false opposition (at the top level anyway). Everybody should be aware of that.

well i never said i stood for the CAUSE of the Confederacy. I stand for the average confederate soldier that was fighting against northern agressors, not the rich land owners who owned slaves. 99% of the southern population did not care at all about slavery, if they lived in a slave state or not, they simply wanted to live their lives, and to free themselves from ,what they thought to be, the rule of a foreign power! So yea, i stand for the little guy, not the rich guy!

Hehe just reading the name of this thread makes me smile. :)

perhaps his advisors told him to look the other way?? You yourself has stated that the president acts on intel and his advisors right?? So... because he did nothing about Bib Laden.. dosen't mean we are in this mess because of him..

Row over Bush TV 'assassination'

The Republican Party in Texas has said it is "shocking" and "disturbing" that a TV drama is to depict the assassination of US President Bush.

Death of a President uses archive footage, actors and computer effects to portray the president being shot dead.

UK broadcaster Channel 4, who made the mock documentary, said it explored the effects of the War on Terror on the US.

But Gretchen Essell, a spokeswoman for the Republican Party of Texas, called for it not to be screened.

"I cannot support a video that would dramatise the assassination of our president, real or imagined," she told the Press Association news agency.

"The greater reality is that terrorism still exists in our world. It is obvious that the war on terror is not over.

"I find this shocking, I find it disturbing. I don't know if there are many people in America who would want to watch something like that."

The 90-minute film shows Mr Bush being targeted by a sniper during anti-war rally in Chicago in 2007.

He is confronted by a demonstration when he arrives in the city to deliver a speech to business leaders and is shot as he leaves the venue.

The ensuing investigation focuses on a Syrian-born man.

'Irresponsible'

A White House spokesman said of the programme: "We are not going to comment because it does not dignify a response."

The drama will have its world premiere at next month's Toronto Film Festival before a screening on UK digital channel More4.

John Beyer of UK TV pressure group MediaWatch said the film was "irresponsible".

He said it could even trigger a real assassination attempt and told the Daily Mirror: "There's a lot of feeling against President Bush and this may well put ideas into people's heads."

Peter Dale, head of More4, described it as a "thought-provoking critique" of contemporary US society.

He said: "It's an extraordinarily gripping and powerful piece of work, a drama constructed like a documentary that looks back at the assassination of George Bush as the starting point for a very gripping detective story.

"It's a pointed political examination of what the War on Terror did to the American body politic.

"I'm sure that there will be people who will be upset by it but when you watch it you realise what a sophisticated piece of work it is.

"It's not sensationalist or simplistic but a very thought-provoking, powerful drama. I hope people will see that the intention behind it is good."

Producers of the film, which is directed by Gabriel Range, hope to sell the broadcast rights to the US.

Death of a President will be shown on More4 on 9 October.
