September 3, 200619 yr Yea thats kind of impossible to "tell" you the pattern. Its something you have to figure out on your own. I can tell you like when and where you do a up or down stroke, but that wont help you out much its more of a rythem you have to find.
September 4, 200619 yr Strumming patterns can be confusing when you're first starting out but you learn to pick it up pretty quickly. Play them without singing first, as doing both can throw you off.

September 4, 200619 yr Well they both require different tunings, which may be difficult for a beggining guitarist, but if your still interested try this with TKC: Tuning: CACGBe 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 \ 3 3 3 3 \ 5 5 5 5 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 3 3 3 \ 5 5 5 5 \ 7 7 7 7 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 This is the intro and the verse, the '\' indicates you to slide up the neck. And for a message, I really don't know the tuning off the top of my head, but you can just use a guitar Capo on the first fret and play these chords: x32010 022010 020010 320010 these are the verse 133211 <-- end of verse 1 and 2 then for the chorus: xx0231 x32010 320003 try those and see if they help at all
September 5, 200619 yr Alternatively for 'A message' if you can't be bothered to mess with the tuning or don't have a capo, you can play the simplified chords, using the standard tuning. Sounds okay and gets the job done if you dont have a capo and no risk of snapping any strings. :thumbsup: Db - 446664 Fbm - 133111 Ab - 466544 Gb - 244322 Ebm - x68876 For the verses use: Db, Fmb, Ab For the pre chorus (You don't have to be alone) Gb, Fbm, Ab For the chorus (and i'm not going to take...)
