Toddler missing in my city.

Featured Replies

LEESBURG, Fla. - The mother of a missing 2-year-old made a desperate plea for help on Tuesday. She said she put Trenton Duckett to bed on Sunday night, and that's the last she saw of him, WESH 2 News reported.

Melinda Duckett held one of Trenton's stuffed toys as she remembered Sunday night. She said at 7 p.m., Trenton was asleep in his bed. When she checked back at 9 p.m., he was gone.

"The very first thing that went through my mind was that he woke up and he was just hiding or playing or something. I looked in his room. I panicked after that. I completely turned the house upside down," Duckett said.

Its so sad, his picture is everywhere all over town and no one can find him. They have the FBI here a bunch of sheriff deputies.

reminds me of the story of the mom and boyfriend who lost their little girl at the Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale.... they later discovered that the boyfriend killed the little girl....

The average crime index in the U.S. is 329.7 and in the year of the last census, 2000, the crime rate in Leesburg was 694.7. and its jumped alot since then. Im not surprised this happened, but i hope the boy is found ok.

I saw this on the news at my gym... but couldn't read the subtitles (there isn't any sound at the gym) so I didn't know the story. That's really sad. ;_;

Is the story going national now? It would be weird it if turned into one of those missing persons cases where the national media covers it alot. we already have alot of local news teams in our city.

I think the dad did it or maybe the mom, they both seem like they dont care.

what?!! The mom commited suicide???!!!

edit: no she didn't...... :dozey: they actually think he's still alive..

hmmm my friend told me that, but i checked all the local websites and no mention of the kid being dead. so i was wrong, there is still hope!

although if the mom is innocent why would she kill herself if she's innocent?

It is national news now, since I'm in Seattle. I saw it again in a huge featurette on the news, on TWO television screens at the gym, so it's turning into a huge fuss. I hope the boy is alright... he's only two.

I feel so bad for this family. specialy her parents, they just lost their daughter and their grandson is missing....

^^I know. :c I wish them the best.

NO WAY!! so the mom killed herself, huh.... hmmmmmmmm this is really weird.

Indeed... something isn't right in this

I think the mom was involved...i dont see why she would kill herself unless she was guilty of something or found out for sure the kid was dead....

kids of 2 years old don't just disappear,i think he was anoying her and she hit him or something like that, she couldn't live without feeling guilty

I heard she had a restraining order on the father, though. Is it possible he took the kid? It doesn't really explain her suicide, though... just a thought. :c

I think that is possible. but i still think the mom's involved and had a guilty conscience(spelling?) why else would she take her own life while their is hope the kid is ok?

True, but the hope is somewhat slim... since last I heard the FBI had reason to believe the kid was in danger. :c

I dont think he's alive. What did the FBI say?

I'd like to find the son of a bitch who took that kid and shoot him myself. Chances are he lives somewhere close to me:angry:
