"Open with Notepad: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ho­ sts

Add these 2 lines to the bottom:

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com

65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

Make sure you remove it in say 2 days time though....

Save it and restart msn, should work ok."

I don't know, but I use windows live messenger which is better than msn messenger ;)

 

But even windows live messenger is left for dead by AOL Instant Messenger (NOT AIM, the one built into the aol software)

^^ listen dave i posted this thread yesterday coz some ppl including me had problmes with there MSN messenger, i use live messenger too.....but yesterday it's just wasn't working........thast all.......& i found about the way to fix it & posted it thats all.....:lol:

& i never used AOL but everyone seems to be using MSN messenger which is the best i think! :D

It depends what part of the world your from, in america a lot of people use AIM/AOL IM whereas the rest of the world mainly uses msn/wlm.

 

I prefer aol messenger because you can send complete folders of stuff without zipping it up and change your smilies to a vast range of colours/shapes etc
