Mew

Featured Replies

No musical beauty in Mew's music? If you think so, I think you should listen to them a bit more before judging them. Just saying :nice:

Oh, I didn't see Kelsie's post

i've heard the majority of about six or seven songs and always felt compelled to turn off. do any guys on here like them?

Which songs have you listened to?

I think Dave (Dargarius) likes them... and I think a couple other guys here that I know of like them too...

This thread has 655 pages. So, yes.

Edit: Oh, are we even talking about Mew?

i don't know all specifically but i remember listening to 'eight flew over, one was destroyed', 'sometimes life isn't easy' and 'beach'

9826 posts. :P

I said pages. :P

You should try "Am I Wry? No," "156," and "Swimmer's Chant."

Listen to 156, Am I wry? No, Wheels over me and Saviors of jazz ballet. :awesome:

Haha, I missed Kelsie's post again.

Also Special, Apocalypso, and The Zookeeper's Boy.

genuinely just tried 'am i wry? no' about 5 minutes ago and didn't like it.

anyways that's fine, i just wondered if any guys liked them and i have now found out that a few do. pointless me stopping in the thread with the negativity. inabit.

Well, everyone can't like everything.

I love Mew but I don't find them attractive. :P

I know a plenty of guys who like Mew and note that most people (atleast from what I know) get into a band for its music first before they even find out what they look like, right? and no matter how much I love them (and yes their appearance too) they're still not exactly three Jude Law's or whatever you find attractive :P so I don't really see the point of your post

but yeah can't like everything right, but I just thought that the whole appearance thing was pretty silly but idk

my point was the only people i know who like this band are teenage girls, and all i ever hear about them is how cute they are, not their musical ability. now there is nothing wrong with teenage girls but if that is your sole target market i can't imagine them to be amazing. but like i said, turns out some boys do like them so i was proved wrong. i'll have to keep an eye out to see if i can spot male fans irl since as of yet it's proved impossible round these parts.

I think you have the wrong thread. It's Muse you're thinking of there. :P

I like their music and I think they're cute. But I liked the music before I liked them.

matt bellamy tried to have sex with my cousin after a gig after their first album, even though she was with her boyfriend, even when she explained this to him on the basis that 'so what? i'm matt bellamy'. i lost all respect for him at that point. then i heard his music, and other than plug in baby found it ridiculously annoying.
