i talk about myself to my close friends' date=' to those i feel i can trust. otherwise i don't try to expose myself to others; i'm quite shy actually.[/quote']

me too!

and i have similar situation gal....but i really like her and she used to listen but suddenly she seems to not care anymore and only talks about herself....when i try to talk she normally doesn't listen and interrupts talking about herself again...it's annoying!!!!!! i said several times: but can you listen now?....i think she thinks i'm joking :dozey:....the only time she listens to what i'm saying is when i'm giving advices....guess about what? her!....i don't know what to do, i still like her but this situation can't go on!!!!

gosh... that sounds bad...

some ppl are so self involved

maybe u should tell her that your seirous and it's impossible to have a conversation with her because she's not considerate of others or something like that, so that it wouldnt sound so harsh....

a friend of mine always talks about himself, but it's easy with him because he doesnt take things too seriously. I just shout at him "listen to me!"" or "stop talking about yourself"... usually he gets the point :laugh3:

yeah some people i know do get the point but this particular girl doesn't!!!

i would say i'm fed up with this but i know her since we were 3 and i really like her that's the thing! if i didn't i wouldn't talk as much as i do with her....and this is recent...and i don't want to hurt her....it seems i have no way out...it's like: if i say she doesn't listen in a more serious way i'm afraid i can hurt her and if i say it in a light way she thinks i'm joking....i just hope she starts to listen more, or else i'll have to do something...don't know what but something has to change there, i won't handle this much more time!

I try to avoid doing that at all times.

that is a tough situation to be in... but a relationship like that will never last

i dunno why, but this reminds me of a friends episode where they ignore this woman, amanda, because she's always talking about herself. It's a really funny episode

*i know im a TV freak :stunned:*

True. If you carry on like this, you'll very soon be "square eyes"!!:P

Or perhaps even "screen eyes"!!

This appears to be something Mark is extremely good at.:P

there's actually a matching smiley for that :smart::smart::smart:

:laugh3:

I am a reserved person . . . telling strange/new people about my life's dealings is not my thing.

I don't think it's wrong to divulge your life's passings to others . . it's a matter of choice.

But I do believe that there should be limits as to what is appropriate to tell and what things are better off kept to yourself. And I think that a certain (smartness) is implated into your head by yourself that tells you what these limits are.

Some people tell far too much...but who am I to judge?

I like to listen in person to person situations and love finding someone else to do the talking and telling. But hate to find out that a person is more talkative of theirselves than they should.

I usually say that I am a sexy bastard.
