All I want for Christmas...

went to Frankfurt's shopping mile today. firstly to do some christmas shopping and secondly to visit the christmas market.

it was incredible. darn it, but i forgot my camera at home. however. i'm certain i'll go there again sooner or later! everything was decorated and there were light EVERYWHERE! it was already dark, but as light as if the sun was shining! hehe...

it smelt like cotton candy and almonds ... i  the atmosphere...

the best thing though was that guy in the middle of the pedestrian zone...he had builded up his piano and played... it was soooo AMAZING! of course i know all those people busking out there, but that was one very breath-taking performance there! his name was Arne Schmidt and he also sold his CD there. people were surrounding him. listening to him play Elton John and Cat Stevens songs. great man. i've never experienced something like that.

people standing in the cold with a smile on their faces although it was soooo hectic and chaotic...

Christmas. it's Christmas time.

couldn't manage to find any presents yet. :( but i've got some time left, i guess...

the christmas market was awesome, too! there was this huge gigantic real christmas tree decorated with kilometres of fairy lights. the tree was sponsored by some french guy this year... can you feel the love of christmas? :)

christmas is such a big tradition in my family, when we get into it that is, otherwise we don't at all. it's from one extremity to the other, but the presents are always there, tree or no tree lol

i honestly can't think of anything i'd like except an ipod. that's it. i was going to buy it myself but stopped just in case...but if i don't get it now, i'll get it before the new year.

i think i also want...to not eat a whole lot this xmas. honestly, the day is like one long food fest...so much glorious food it's hard to resist :cry2:
