Hooligans - The Untold Story

Featured Replies

Well, I just watched this BBC documentation (60 min.) about English hooligans during World Cup in Germany and what can I say... It's absolutely disgusting and awful! I didn't know about all these scuffles suborned by hooligans, only about that one in Dortmund.

Luckily I've never seen any of these shameful pictures when I was in Berlin twice.

It's a good example which shows that the society really has a problem...

I don't want in any way to defend these hooligans, but I think you'll find there were several incidents involving hooligans from other countries (such as Poland and Germany) too.;)

I didn't say that only British hooligans made trouble during World Cup. ;) But the documentation is produced by the BBC (of course, no other channel would mention the Nazis as often as they do), so it's more focused on British hooligans.

It's only a shame that these friendly games were destroyed by them. I really think our society has a big problem and that's a really good example for it.

the link doesn't work on me computer. wasn't that on telly a few months ago?

If I remember that documentary rightly, they placed basically all the blame on fans of lower-league teams because they don't get to go to big games very often so they get carried away. Very narrow-minded if you ask me.
