Oh :stunned:

  • 5 weeks later...

Car + Metal Post = Not good :(

Sub total of damage:

Broken plastic clip holding random piece of plastic on bumper

A little dent in the rear left hand side wheel arch

Broken rear light cluster (which cost £30 to get a replacement).

And when fitting said rear light cluster, I must have touched something as the interior lights no longer work, so hopefully it will be a fuse...

....but I have no idea where the bloody fuse box is :(

Nope, it was a case of me mis-judging an angle to reverse out of a parking bay due to some idiot parking right next to me.

Oh you crashed!!

How bad is the damage?

lalala

Oh thanks....

Found the fuse-box, after 5 minutes managed to get the cover off and located the fuse.

Found out that the fuse is one of those tiny fuses, so set out to replace the cover, 20 minutes later and with the use of a screw-driver managed to get it clipped back in place. When to the local town where after visiting several garages and car places found somewhere which sold the mini-fuses in the size I wanted. Got home and replaced it and managed to put the cover on.

Problem fixed, just need to find some super-glue to glue the plastic strip back on where the plastic bits which suppose to hold it broke off, can't really do much about the dent though as it's double skinned.

Oh that's good then, nothing better than a bit DYI!

I mean't to say DIY..:P

they drive me around

but my classes start soon :dizzy:

I guessed that :P

Oh that's good, started to think you were a bit daft..

  • 11 months later...

I still drive my bike

:cool:Bike Driving is Cool Lore!!;) It saves oodles on gas, and it's recession-proof, since there's not much debt involved! I really, really wish I had my bikes back - I kept giving them away to homeless people, and then they kept having them stolen:(. I miss the fun of just pedaling down the road, carefree and full of energy...

But on a better note, I'm proud to be driving an older car - 1984 Cavalier by Chevrolet; it only cost me $400 U.S., and has been running great for years. Now I need to replace the left CV joint and get the exhaust fixed, and then I'll be less of a cop magnet on the road..:laugh3:

But I have to laugh at all the "high Mileage" claims I see advertised - my old jalopy gets 36-38 MPG (9.5 - 10 Miles per Liter), which is probably low by standards in Chile, but some of the new "fuel-efficient" hybrids being offered in the U.S. get 35 MPG (9.2 Miles per Liter):laugh3:. Funny how we can't even get back to the mileage standards of the 80's..
