blog vs. diary

Featured Replies

this might be very senseless, but yesterday i bought that nice notebook.

i thought i could start writing real diary entries again instead of just blogging since my blog was shut down for yesterday.

however... do you actually write blogs? or diaries?

think that diaries are a bit more intmate. okay, you cannot upload photos or something :), but it's very personal and a bit more emotional. and you can re-read it. my blog might be deleted.

it might be a psychological thing, but i'm a bit more honest in my handwritten diary..

I write both, although I update my blog more often because it's a way of being updated with friends of mine that I cannot see so often or never because they live far away.

In my diary I often write ramblings that dont make sense and I love it because I can draw as well. I also write short stories and a lot of this kind of shit that I don't want other people to read because it's sort of bad and embarrissing. Especially my poems...

But lately I havent written much in there.

oh, yeah...that's a big plus... random drawings :laugh3:

I'm way too lazy to keep up with a blog but i used to have one and write down lots of things when i was totally broed or sad i think it was a good way to vent when i needed to say something, never expected replies but to my surprise i'd always get a few comments back which was great

I can't draw - so no problem there, either!:P

writing diaries is such a girl thing anyway. :laugh3:

Haha, I just had to think of what Fran Healy that, that there should be a law that forces everyone to write a diary because it is so great.

He really said that? haha Fran rocks! He posts from time to time on the official travis board

Yes, so does Dougie. I used to be there a lot when I was 15 and depressed. There were some funny people there.

I updated my Myspace page for the first time since October, so it appears I don't really do a blog as much.

haha yeah travis fans are great :D And Dougie! he's soooo funny! do you have the dvd with all their official vids? in some scene in the documentary Fran asks him " hey do, the Richard ashcroft thing" and Dougie starts walking down the street like in the bitter sweet vid haha soo good :P

They should stop f®annying about and get that new album out!!:P

I blog pretty much everyday. But usually my posts aren't about stuff that is super personal or that I am ashamed to say like maybe a diary. And plus you can't say your true feelings about people just incase they read it.

^ yeah, but the thing about my blog is that my friends do not have the address.

so it really was very intimate.

Only three people that I know in person read my blog and they are close friends so it doesnt matter if they read it.

You mean the Singles one? No, I still couldn't get me through to paying 25 Euros for it. :P But I still want it.

I have three diaries and an Outlook calendar, all for planning and schedules, not for 'blogging' ;)

there isnt much of a difference really. you can write whatever you like.
