yay. go f-gon or fernandito... i really think he can beat federer. hes such a dynamic player, unlike any other on tour except probably monfils, who i believe can give federer a good run for his money.

of course I'm supporting Gonzalez.. he's from the same city that I am and he's a really good player too... he deserves to win

Gonzales has no chance whatsoever. They might as well hand the trophy to Federer now.

Secondly, I hope Sharapova stuffs the Williams ogre. I can't stand her.

federer it's not a god... so there's always a chance...

No, he's not a god.................. but he is virtually invincible.;)

i follow and play tennis and i no the game really well, there is not a chance in the world that federer loses

I agree - it would only happen if he had a very bad day or he was sick or injured.;)

If Roddick & Murray can beat him, Gonzalez can.

If Roddick & Murray can beat him, Gonzalez can.

Roddick got slaughtered!!:laugh3:

He beat him before the tournament began. Plus, that wasn't a normal Roddick display

Roddick hasn't beaten him for yonks!!

He beat him in the final of the warm-up tournament just before the Aussie open mate.

Warm-up tournaments don't count. It's what you do in the big tournaments that matters, and Roddick came up short again.

Roddick didn't play a bad match against federer. He hit shots that would have been winners or forced errors against anyone else. Federer played one of the best matches of his career, and espn would agree. Roddick did not lose that match, federer won it.

SERENA WILLIAM WINS 3RD AUSTRALIAN OPEN TITLE

Serena Williams has just won her 3rd Australian Open title with a 6-1 6-2 straight sets victory over Russian Maria Sharapova. The unseeded Williams who before the tournament had a ranking of 81 was the first unseeded women's player to win the tournament for 29 years. She now posseses the number 14 ranking.

It took Williams only 63 minutes to dispose of Sharapova, however the Russian did not play bad tennis. Sharapova only had 15 unforced errors for the match, which shows the extent of Williams' game today.

Shit. That ogre has to go and win..

Shit. That ogre has to go and win..

I know - it's terrible. She's going to be even more arrogant and "full of it" than ever now!!

The worst thing is that it was yet another anti-climax of a final. That happens way too often!

Federer-Gonzales will probably be a whitewash, too.............................

Which just proves that when Federer is on his game, he's virtually unbeatable.;)

exactly what i am saying.... as for serena i hate her just as much as you guys do. After shahar peer i route for the americans, but i can not route for serena. She cares more about fame than her tennis. It upsets me that shes back:cry:

I couldn't agree more. She's like the "David Beckham" of tennis.

And as for her dad.............................................

It's all over!! As I predicted, a straight-sets win!!:smug:

you and i saw it coming... federer is top 2 all time in my opinion

I think everyone saw it coming! I like to be support the underdogs though :)
