I got my fucking iPod wet today. :(

I left it on my jeans going down a waterslide--and yeah, I was wearing jeans down a waterslide. :laugh3:

It's kinda working, but it keeps saying "FireWire connections are not supported" even though it's not connected to anything. :laugh3:

Ahh jeez.

It's your own fault then :laugh3:

The main problem with my 4GB nano is that you can only fit about 3.59GB of music on it, which depends on how much space is taken up by "Other", which increases and decreases at random.

Why were you wearing jeans on a waterslide in the first place?:stunned:

lmao, now it wont boot at all. I get the sad face screen. OWNED.

Ah well. At least I got it from Costco--I'll have the best chance at returning it there. :P

And I was wearing jeans cuz I didn't know there would be a waterslide at my little cousins b-day party, haha.

Maybe, but that doesn't mean you had to join in!!

Couldn't you have "skinny" slid??:P

Anyway, I have a question. Is it only possible to activate/use an iPod (Shuffle) if you download the iTunes software first?

I would guess so, unless you download something else to make the shuffle thing it's using iTunes, when in fact it's using another program.

Okay, I've really fucked it up now.

I tried to pry it open a tad so I could dry out the insides, and bam. My screen cracks. I barely even touched it. -_-

Have just bought a new 160gb Classic Ipod. :)

Does anyone know a good program, compatible with this ipod, to rip/convert DVDs etc? Been trying to do it tonight without much success so far.

Well I have found a version of "Imtoo DVD to Ipod converter" that works pefectly. :)

how do i transfer songs from i old ipod onto my new one?

i guess they need to be put back in my library first but i'm not sure how to do it.

Do you have the tracks on your computer?

If so, it's simple, if not you need to download a program which can access the iPod which isn't iTunes, so you can copy and paste the audio files from your old iPod to your hard-drive, then to your new iPod.

^^Yeah. I used a program called "iPodRip", which transfered everything, including videos and podcasts, from my iPod and then straight into iTunes. They have for both Mac and Windows. You can only use it 10 times, because it's a trial version, but it's cheap to buy.
