Personally, I've never used the official forum...I signed up but never got in. It's funny, something similar is happening with another band board (The Killers), only it's because the people who run the official forum are complete douchebags.

I suppose unofficial boards tend to be a lot more relaxed...

I find there to be an abundance of douchebags on the Coldplay message boards, and not running it, but they probably like to think they do in their head. They are people who aren't even fans of the band, but it's like a collective amount of the douchebags that congregate in one online community, so as to blend in--and their doucheness will seem a bit more discreet as they are not quite so outnumbered.

It also doesn't help that the Coldplay.com message boards kind of suck as far as the discussion capacity/memory. There is a total of about 10-15 pages per topic/section at the most last time I checked--actually less I think, and after that, a thread gets bumped off the boards for good. I had wrote a very detailed post before on there, and it was bumped right off--it was about an experience backstage.

So, in short, I thank the admins and moderators on this board who do a good job and provide this community.

Why would there be?? :P

I'm still confused  about posts and threads. If I have anything to say I just put it here. The Beatles and Coldplay ( besides being great) have something else in common. What? Maybe this is too easy. What the hell, I need something to amuse me.

Hha, yay! This is getting interesting

And yes, as (almost) everyone else has said, this is a better site.

I visited the official site maybe 5 times. And then i found this one. With all the pervs. Aww, what a good place to be at

We're considered to be pervs on the coldplay.com forum? That really surprises me.

"We should start a special thread for ex coldplay.com members to introduce themselves..so we can count how many are coming on here now.."

Good idea and the coldplay.com members could post threads too!

Listen2Coldplay's lecture - Some members used to like coldplay but now they don't. So, if we don't, we can't post anymore? It's that much of a problem. There are sections for people to post about Coldplay. Your adminstrator posts in the forum...

'Ello to everybody. This is my friendly hello. Good day to you all. Not making a big deal of this. Just standing up for the coldplay.com forum. *thumb up*

I can't say I'd have accused you guys of being pervs! lol

I visited the main forum a few times and just found coldplaying more active.

In the end tho, we are/were all Coldplay fans. We should stick together!:)

I agree - especially as some of the others appear to have "defected"!!
