It's lucky it wasn't a harder drug like crack. Pot's relatively harmless. Mind you, I don't know what effect it has on a child's brain. It's not physically addictive, so they'll probably be ok. It's still an evil thing to do.

I give Rick props for quiting smoking!

Have you ever thought about quitting Tracie or does it not really bother you? Sorry if that is too personal a question.

I tried quitting once. It lasted for 5 days before I was crying my eyes out at Little House On The Prairie re-runs,lol...I knew I had to start again for the sake of those around me.:laugh3: Since a pack usually lasts me a week or more, I'm not too worried at this point.

Ā

And no, Rick. I'm DEFINITELY not a pothead. I'm just saying there are more dangerous drugs out there. But no drug is safe for small children...it disgusts me beyond words that those guys could be so pathetic.

Hmmm.it's the weekend. I wonder if Bonnie will see the mess we've made of her thread,lol!:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: Hi Bonnie!:wink3:

I don't ever want to get into smoking, but since everybody does it these days, It's probably still going to have an affect on me.

Ā

I already have quite bad asthma (or however you spell it), it was so bad once that one day a forgot to take my inhaler with me, and by the time I got home I could hardly breathe and was light headed and I could barely stand. I reckon i got this condition as a result of sitting around smokers when I was very young.

Other people's smoke did this to me.

Ā

Which ever way I look at it, smoking is 'bad'. Ofcourse I've seen much worse cases, some people I know somke 40 a day, and I'm surprised that theyre still alive. Ofcourse it doesn't garuntee that you will die early, a minority are lucky. I spose I can understand one or two cigarettes for social reasons, but I'm angry because its affected me even when I make a concious decision not to smoke.

Ā

I realised that this post is badly structured but I just want to voice my opinions on the matter. It might even be the wrong thread for it

And I'm not having a go at anyone! (not on here anyway:sneaky:)

Yeah some smokers are just plain rude, not following the rules. For example I was in a small bus stop yesterday which says no smoking. Well this little punk (he looked like he was 10 years old) lights up outside then walks in and smokes the cig right beside me. I just walked outside into the cold, I'd rather not have to inhale something that makes me feel sick.

Yeah I see children around that age smoking quite often, but luckily in the UK no one dares to smoke on a bus or a train. There also going to ban smoking in all public places (including cafe's and restaurants) within the next 2 years or so. I don't know all the facts, but things are looking better ;)

lol i love the way this thread is going, even if it isnt entirely dedicated to me :P

yeh im more against smoking now. i used to sort of, but then i realised its pointless. i do admit, i sometimes do it when drunk, but can you blame me? we're all idiots when drunk... XD whenever i do, when i wake up in the morning with a sore throat i fully regret it. idiot. XD

i have a friend whos a smoker, but even though she is addicted, she uses it as a "cool" thing which i absolutely hate. so whenever i hang around with her now, i make it a rule for her not to smoke or i will leave lol (unless we are in a club, etc). but i havent seen her much lately, i try not to, i dont really like her anymore lol =/
