okay, that's your opinion, mine is still different. ;)

well, it seems like you're having a huge "fight" there and that's another thing I don't get. I mean, come on, I know we're all spending way too much time on here, but this is not reality ... if someone pissed you off, you can still switch off your computer and get on with your daily life instead of worrying about such nonesense. at least I could never ever imagine having such an argument with someone I don't even know personally... I don't really get that.

anywaaays, I don't wanna get into that too much, it's pointless, me thinks ^^

these were just some thoughts in my mind, haha ;D

heheh well it's ok......sometimes I really wonder why just don't switch off this thing and do something else....I can't even tell you why.....maybe it's in my nature hhaha...and actually I'm often repeating myself with my arguments...but that's me.,...in reality I can be quite the same...

well when I'm on here I don't really care if it is reality or not....it just bothers me then and I want to get rid of what I think about it...;)

But I think this chilidish behaviour doesn't just come from anywhere....;)

As I've said before, what constitutes "childish" behaviour is subjective. For example, I believe "backstabbing" is extremely childish, and anyone guilty of it should hang their heads in shame. Those people will know who they are.;)

At least if I'm unhappy with somebody about something I'm open and honest about it, and I don't judge people based on isolated incidents........................

:) i havent seen whats going on in this thread.. well, some of you are curious who PMed Ian, or who "backstabbed" Mark :)

so i will copy my pms to Ian here :

"hi

do you choose those mods? what is mods' duties?

insult people? (get to your sty back Piguel-- was said to Miguel by mc_squared) delete threads for no reason? (mc_squared) or behaving different towards different people? (David S. and mc_squared)

i just want to know these..

thank you.."

i want to make clear something: i seem to be a stool pigeon here but i am not :)

at first i just reported his rude words to Miguel (i dont know Miguel that much only i have seen him around and maybe talked 1 or 2 times). but Mark deleted that thread and i wasn't sure if Ian would get the report from a deleted thread.)

and the reply to Ian's answer (i wont copy his post):

"whenever the turkey thread is bumped for no reason (you know its 55pages and we have no other long animal threads, maybe its not a coincidence) i will create such threads. i'm sorry what i am doing is personal but its better than doing this towards a whole country, isnt it?

thank you anyway for responding.."

well i'm not even a regular visiting member of coldplaying.com but even if this is a virtual world, i thought i should tell my opinions about the board and its management to the admin. in fact i dont bother that turkey thread much but it is really not a real turkey(animal) thread..i certainly know why and when he created that thread. anyway i really dont bother it much but that direct insults to Miguel was too much. in short, i pmed for forum's good and it seems Ian makes his decision in this way..

by the way i can defend myself pages on this whole situation but its unnecessary. if you think i was wrong, i will respect your opinion. anyway its a long story.. but i'm here if you want to say something, anything.. i will answer..

and lastly maybe you want to know if i am happy with this decision or not. or am i angry with him or not.

i'm not angry with him anymore since my last post in turkey thread. i only dont respect his all posts, thats all..

and yes i think the board is better without his moderator role (my opinion without any hate)...

so? I don't care where it comes from, it's your argument, not mine. :nice:

I was just saying... as far as I understood the situation, someone (or even more people) wrote ian in order to complain about mark instead of just complaining to mark. and that's totally childish and that's my opinion. that's "petzen", you see? ;)

Thanks, Sarah. As I said, it's a cowardly way to go about things, as is "conspiring".......................

I respect the fact you have at least had the guts to make this public. I was already aware of this, and it came as no surprise based on what had happened before. The only relevant issue here is the "Miguel" stuff, however, and the thread which led to this should never have been created in the first place.

I'm not condoning my response, but it has still been blown up out of all proportion.

Whether somebody likes somebody else or their posting style is totally irrelevant, and always has been.

There are many people whose "style" I can't stand (that goes for musicians, too) but I don't go on and on about it as it is of no importance in the grand scheme of things.;)

In my opinion there is nothing wrong about complaining to Ian about other members.....I think in Mark's case we are not only talking about the current situation...it has been like this many many times before...and he will obviously never stop.....I don't know how many arguments I had with him about how he should stop annoying others by provocating them....but I feel like talking to a wall there....really...I know people who had him on their ignore list but still were annoyed by him...because he can't stop.....and I think this is the thing that pisses most of the people off....so, the option to complain about it to Ian is not that far fetched...but however this is just my opinion....which is based on many arguments I had with him in several threads...

and I still don't think all this is some kind of over-reacting....yeah maybe for some who are not really involved..but we are not talking about a 3 days problem....this problem comes in phases...and can be really annoying for those who are involved...

That is an opinion based on preconceptions, which is why it is fatally flawed.

Only the current incident is relevant, as I wasn't a mod before that, and neither were you.

In my opinion, everyone deserves a reasonable chance, no matter what you think of them personally.

Ian isn't going to make Albie mod and just forget about his past.

Scope

Ecology is usually considered a branch of biology, the general science that studies living organisms. Organisms can be studied at many different levels, from proteins and nucleic acids (in biochemistry and molecular biology), to cells (in cellular biology), to individuals (in botany, zoology, and other similar disciplines), and finally at the level of populations, communities, and ecosystems, to the biosphere as a whole; these latter strata are the primary subjects of ecological inquiries. Ecology is a multi-disciplinary science. Because of its focus on the higher levels of the organization of life on earth and on the interrelations between organisms and their environment, ecology draws heavily on many other branches of science, especially geology and geography, meteorology, pedology, genetics, chemistry, and physics. Thus, ecology is considered by some to be a holistic science, one that over-arches older disciplines such as biology which in this view become sub-disciplines contributing to ecological knowledge.

Ian isn't going to make Albie mod and just forget about his past.

I think everyone who knew Albie on here would agree that he would have been totally unsuitable. Big difference.

However, if Ian saw fit to make him one, it would be his decision and nobody else's, as it's his board. At the end of the day, nobody else's opinion actually counts, and neither should it.;)

...so therefore one must respect his decision and move on!

Rick, that's the smartest statement I've heard on this 'smart thread' yet.

I've only seen a bit of Albie's past,lol. I can imagine him as a Mod...for about 2 minutes!

That's why that particular comment was so ludicrous!!:P

He is. It's Ian's site and Ian's call. Simple as that.
