It isn't a threat - I don't make them (unlike others).

It's a simple explanation of karma. What you do maliciously to others will come back to you eventually. That's what the backstabbers should bear in mind.;)

All I'm saying is that there was totally unnecessary provocation by certain individuals who had an agenda. Regardless of what happened subsequently, this should have been taken into consideration. However, it wasn't. There have been countless incidents of unmod-like behaviour by others in the past (e.g. bias), and no action has been taken. On that basis, there should be one rule for all or none at all. That's my point, nothing more.

No - I have no idea what you might or might not have said. All I know is that there has been some backstabbing, and whoever was responsible should take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror and remember that one day the shoe might be on the other foot.;)

I've avoided this thread assuming it was just a bunch of insults...well, I wasn't totally wrong.

 

Personally, I'm sorry to see Mark demoted. Liking and agreeing with everyone doesn't automatically make a good Mod, and being edgy and controvercial doesn't automatically make a bad one, IMO.

 

Let me clarify that I'm not arguing Ian's decision...it'e his site. But if it's happenned for the reasons I suspect, then I'm sorely dissappointed. I've read the protests, and I hope there's more to this than the opinions of 2 or 3 people.

i didn't realise there were new mods at all, but now that i am all i can say is regardless of the pms and arguments etc concerning the spamming and mod duties, this is a public site so everyone can see what is happening including Ian who made this decision rationally. it would be out of character for him to demote Mark without knowing all the facts and citing the threads/posts that were brought to his attention.

yeah, that's pretty much it, but anyway we're all coldplayers here, that comes before the mod status in all cases :D

But seriously, with the amount of arguments that Mark has caused/been a part of, I think it was a wise decision by Ian.

Ian is the only one who knows everything that's been said. But from what I've seen, Mark didn't start all of those 'arguements'. And some of the threads that irritated people wouldn't have bothered them if a 'mod' hadn't started them. I think alot of over-reacting happenned here, on the part of a small few people. Like I said before, most of us didn't have a problem. If I had 2 cents for everytime I offered 2 cents...lol...I'd be 4 cents richer.:P

These arguments aren't just from recent days, these arguments go way back.

I didn't say he never started any of them. And I can't really comment on what happened before my time. But I saw 2 or 3 pissed off people followed by one ex-Mod. I'm just saying what it looks like from the outside...and it doesn't look good.

 

Like I said, Only Ian really knows what's going on, but IMO it's a loss. It was cool While it lasted...

well... being the last member who had an argument with him, probably makes me the biggest suspect...

 

I'd like to say that I didn't PM anybody, especially not Ian... I showed my discontent only with posts here in the lounge and with a thread (that Mark deleted btw)... and I have no idea who did such thing...

 

this situation doesn't make me more or less happy... but in my opinion he wasn't doing is job as a mod correctly... so, it was probably a good decision...

There is no excuse for backstabbing in any situation. It is the lowest of the low and unforgivable.

Everyone deserves to be given a fair chance and everybody should be given a fair hearing. Justice has not been served, whatever the circumstances.

I was just saying... as far as I understood the situation, someone (or even more people) wrote ian in order to complain about mark instead of just complaining to mark. and that's totally childish and that's my opinion. that's "petzen", you see? ;)

In my opinion there is nothing wrong about complaining to Ian about other members.....I think in Mark's case we are not only talking about the current situation...it has been like this many many times before...and he will obviously never stop.....I don't know how many arguments I had with him about how he should stop annoying others by provocating them....but I feel like talking to a wall there....really...I know people who had him on their ignore list but still were annoyed by him...because he can't stop.....and I think this is the thing that pisses most of the people off....so, the option to complain about it to Ian is not that far fetched...but however this is just my opinion....which is based on many arguments I had with him in several threads...

and I still don't think all this is some kind of over-reacting....yeah maybe for some who are not really involved..but we are not talking about a 3 days problem....this problem comes in phases...and can be really annoying for those who are involved...
