Hey everyone. This is atually my first post but I've been a member here for over a year, haha. I am an avid music player and I would really love some opinions of my music at www.purevolume.com/alexurban. There are covers of Low, A Message, Help by the Beatles and a demo of one of the many songs I have written for my band. Thanks!

Anyone else with music pages post them because I love to hear new artists.

Pretty good man, I like the Low acoustic. Maybe a little less echo on the vocals in A Message but otherwise those are some good covers. If you want to get your voice to sound more like Chris you have to use a bari-tenor tone when singing (his voice has great range so its a little hard to copy). Don't sing from your nose as much and don't be afraid to switch to your false setto so you don't throw out your voice. Chris does it too, but its so seamless that its as if he's trained his voice to switch back and forth automatically. So basically just sing along with your favorite Coldplay songs until your voice can recognize what his is doing. Hopefully some part of this made sense.

Good stuff, keep rockin.

Ha thanks dude. Yea I am more into the origional stuff anyway...but this IS a Coldplay site...haha, thanks man!

Not bad at all!! Don't be afraid to sing from you diaphragm...you can get deeper breaths doing that. And yeah, there might be a touch more reverb on A Message than I would use, but that's just me. Welcome to the forums, by the way!:D

There's a thread in Multimedia where I'm encouraging people to post their Coldplay covers, and another thread for people's originals if you'd like to post there as well. It'll halp get it heard.

Cheers!

Yup, the reverb in the actual song is barely noticeable. But you could always use it to cover up any voice problems if they come about, the reverb makes the flow from note to note smoother.

Haha, thanks. I'm just glad I even have the function of reverb as my recording equipment is fairly amateur. Thanks for the feedback!
