March 4, 200719 yr The Woodlands is my town. A few weeks ago, Larry King mentioned The Woodlands High School as the Number one snobbiest High School in town. I went there. And while I wouldn't say it's number one...it's up there. Win Butler, and Will Butler lived here and I have read that they hate this place. I can really see why. If you don't have tons of money to blow...this place can be really boring and there isn't much to do except eat at 5 star restaurants and shop at Grade A stores. Beyonce has a house here on Lake Woodlands...if that says anything..and I saw her dine at Amerigo's (she really does have a reallly really really big butt, btw) :shy: I hope to the all mighty, I don't have to live here for very long. I lived in Austin for a few months by myself... but came back to be closer to a special friend of mine and Austin is a really trippy place to live. Too many hobos. It is in Urban Dictionary with a list of what The Woodlands is like. Sadly, 90 percent of it is true. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=The+Woodlands&page=1 See if you can find your town, and tell me what makes your town unlike any other. C.
March 4, 200719 yr Author you should visit ME .... we could find a hole in the ground and call it our Batcave/lovecave :cheesy: hahaha, it really is sucky to live here though.
March 4, 200719 yr Author Bush Intercontinental Airport digging shop: why? let's just find something in the shed :cheesy:
March 4, 200719 yr I couldn't find my town, but I found the other really close town around here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=doylestown
March 4, 200719 yr I couldn't find anything on my town or any close by so here is the capital city of my state: Melbourne The fashion, events, food and wine, arts, shopping, financial, entertainment and style capital of Australia. Sports and street art capital of the world. The only thing it isn't is tourist capital - they flock to see the one piece of arhcitectural brilliance Sydney ever saw (which is now like 50 years old) leaving Melbournians to live in the world's greatest and most liveable city in contentment. The city is literally alive with all the biggest events in Australia. Commonwealth Games, Fashino Festival, Food Festival, Arts Festival, Grand Prix, Fringe Festival, World Swimming Champs, AFL Grand Final, Aus Open. Best architecture in Australia- Royal Exhibiton Buildings, MCG, FLinder's St Station, Southern Cross Station, Eureka and Rialto, Fed Square and literally thousands of others. Read about them all in the book Design City: Melbourne. Now I don't think there's one of those for Sydney... Nor is there anything like the number of events, nor the quality of their food, fashion, arts or culture. But thats ok, they can all go to the beach all day and try not to get raped or mugged. SydneySider1: Because of the immense lack of anything to do in this overcrowded, polluted, dangerous city, I'm going to the beach to escape the stifling heat that grips our city for most of the year. SydneySider2: So true. We've seen the opera house and bridge so now there's really not much to do. If only we lived in Melbourne we could enjoy the fantastic array of things there are to do and see all year round. Lmao so true!! Sydney's gay, come to Melbourne! :D:D:D
March 4, 200719 yr :laugh3: aw i love melbourne, favorite major aus city, then brisbane...sydney is last, i really don't like the place. .......... BRISBANE the capital of queensland, australia. it's as great as sydney and melbourne without the wankers! brisbane, beautiful one day, perfect the next! BRISBANE brisbane has shucked its reputation as a backwater and emerged as one of the country's most progressive centres. it has several interesting districts, a good street scene, a great riverside park, a busy cultural calender and a thriving nightlife. known locally as bris vegas, the city is renouwned for its sun and the brash, glitzy hordes that follow it, but it's also the arts capital of queensland, with dozens of theatres, cinemas, concert halls, galleries and museums. a climate this good and culture too? it must be paradise. population 1.6 million.
March 4, 200719 yr Halifax is kind of a weird one... some people clearly love it, and others seem to be from Spryfield :freak: ... And it's all mixed in with a couple of other places named Halifax. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=halifax Some of the best ones (that you'll probably only ever understand if you've been here) "Halifax is home to weird hip hop artists like Sixtoo and Buck 65." "No shopping on Sundays. [Actually after years of tradition, that law was just tossed out] Also the Bars close at 4 am!!!" "Its windy and rainy as hell. The wind will snap your umbrella in half, thus making any attempt to shield oneself from the rain futile." "The ridiculously expensive universities have become nothing but exclusive kennels where wealthy Toronto suburbanites can send their vapid poodling daughters and idiotic sons, who bring their 1993 plague-like vernacular to the local commonfolk, while popping their collars and wearing uggboots." "The pathetic bus is always several minutes late or several minutes early. Both result in standing in the rain getting wet." And the best one of all: There are 200 Tim Hortons, and most people flock to these like heroin addicts.
March 4, 200719 yr Most of this is actually pretty acurate, except for #3- coz I don't live in England. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Norfolk The home of the Largest Navy base in the world...
