That was a disaster when U2 did that.

Show me a decent fan-club for a band which I like, then I will sign up for it.

Exactly, I see no benefits of these things. I mean I like U2 alot but their fan-club is not worth the money. I already own all their cds so streaming all their songs is no biggy. And all the videos are on youtube. And the CD's they have aren't that good either. Nothing like Propaganda when they had Hasta La Vista Baby.
