I don't think they all have weird haircuts. Paul's may be a little weird, but he has had that style for so long now, I just associate that sort of hair with him. If it were anyone else, I'd be like, "Um, no, you need to go fix that." Also, I think Schneider looks pretty hawt with his fauxhawk. :wacky: I don't really like Richard's the way his is, but I don't really pay much attention to him, anyway.

You're welcome girls ;)

I didn't see them on tour this time :( The tickets were sold way to fast for me to get one!

Speaking of their haircuts, the weirdest one for me was Richard on LIFAD era (playmobil haircut :D), it made him look older:

Richard looks like a creeper when his hair is like that. D;

playmobil haircut? hehe.

well i prefer the volkerball style for most of their looks and specially for Richard, but i honestly find Paul' style the creepier to me. btw he signatured a Les Paul recently.

DUDE. Völkerball Till is so nomtastic. :dazzled:

Oh, he did? Is it up for auction or did he donate it or what?

oh yeah Völkerball. :wacky:

Erm, i read it on Gibson's fb page a couple weeks ago or so, in like he designed a Les Paul.

Oh, sorry. When you said he "signatured" it, I thought you meant that he signed one. My mistake for misunderstanding you. That's interesting, though. I know Richard had designed one earlier, but I didn't know Paul had, too.

Here I come again with news about the band :D

They will soon release a dvd/blu-ray Videos 1995-2012 with all their videos + making of (the date depend in which country you live, check the link to see).

And to promote this, they released My Herz Brennt as a maxi cd with 2 versions of the song, a remix of it by Boys Noize, an instrumental of it and a new song called Gib Mir Deine Augen.

In addition to that, 2 videos and a website were made.

Let's go back to more details about the 2 version of MHB:

- the first version is a piano-voice version with a video with only Till and, oh boy, this (music and video) is amazing :dazzled: (it gave me goosebumps and brought tears into my eyes!). Check it out here!

- the second version is the original one and the clip will be released on the dedicated website December 14th (in ten hours where I am. Yeah, there is a countdown!). I'm looking forward to watching it :D

And, they even are back on tour next year! There is going to be a long hiatus after this!

Yeah, I've heard about the new version, but I haven't actually listened to it yet. I need to go do that.

OMG NEW SONG NEW SONG NEW SONG    Seems like an interesting title. "Gib Mir Deine Augen" translates into "Give Me Your Eyes" in English. I wonder whether this is what they really mean or it's a German expression for something else.

Yeah, when you hear/see the piano-voice version, let me know what you think about it ;)

If I remember correctly, this new song was written during the LIFAD period. And here are the lyrics in German (I didn't know before that this fansite already had them, even the French translation is done!). According to the lyrics, it's not a German expression. And as for every song, the meaning is up to each person.

I really want to have this maxi cd!!! Plus, it's nice looking!

:D

I was just going to let it load for a while until it was ready, but I didn't realize the vid was on Vimeo. It's worse than YouTube (which is slow enough on my desktop :\), and I couldn't get it to move or anything. :bigcry:

Thanks for the lyrics! I can understand bits and pieces of it (thanks to me memorizing so many Rammstein lyrics/translations) off the top of my head. I'll do a bit of research and see if I can't manage a full English translation. :D

I don't know if you have looked up a YouTube link but I found one for you and people who have trouble with Vimeo (their official videos are on Vimeo because of some copyright issues with YouTube in Germany but there is always someone to put it on YouTube afterwards!). So here is the video of the piano version:

I also found the new song on YouTube and after 2 listenings, I quite like the chorus' music and melody, plus the piano bits at the beginning and the end of the song.

You're welcome for the lyrics Violet ;)

And, if needed, here are some English translations ;)

I think the ones which translate the best the French translation are the one from Foenii and Rak.

And Friday, I saw the other video, 2-3 times, and I like the aestheticism of it and the atmosphere in it but I'm confused/puzzled by/about it! Plus, it's focused on Till so we don't see much the other members and they cut the guitar solo :(

Here is a YouTube link to watch it:

I'm REALLY digging "Gib Mir Deine Augen." I agree with you about the explicit version video of MHB. The aesthetic fits the song quite well.

I didn't like the piano version of MHB as much as I expected to, though. I guess I feel that the original song gives the power that fits the song lyrically, and I lost that through stripping down to just piano. It sounds a bit too much like a lullaby for my liking. Having said that, it's OK. I liked the video a lot, though. Till was pretty swell in that. :wacky:

It's been a while since I logged in the forum!

The more I listen to Gib Mir Deine Augen, the more I like it. And I listened to that maxi CD a lot :D (I finally bought it at the end of december 2012 )

Yeah, I understand that the piano version of Mein Herz Brennt can be a bit disturbing!

For me it was love at first listen :D, plus I find it pretty cool that with this music and the video, you can read into the lyrics in another way!

And RammsteinWorld.com did this amazing and interesting Mein Herz Brennt minisite and there, you can find:

- a description of the single

- lyrics, translation and analysis of the song

- 3 interviews: Sven Helbig, composer of the piano version; Zoran Bihać, director of the 2 videos and Melanie Gaydos, acting in the explicit version

- the videos

- and some goodies
