Yea, short is an understatement for that! Apparently theres gonna be a lot of documentary footage too. Maybe a major component of it is going to be footage of the band backstage and on the road and what not. If so, thats really cool. If not.......well, fuck! ahhaha.

The song.... Hard To Image

The album.... Lost Dogs

The band.......you know. hahha

Maybe Boom will give the backstage tour etc hahah...well I'm definitely looking forward to it! been a while since the Live at the Garden dvd, Touring Band is the best dvd so far though

  • Author

Yea, to tell ya the truth. I didn't really like Live At The Garden. I mean, good selection of songs but, the show felt kinda uneven, not consistently good ya know. And yes, Touring Band 2000 is the best live DVD I've ever purchased. Only two words to describe it

holy

shit

hahaha

As well, I'd like to take this oppurtunity to state that the live bootleg November 6th, 2000, Seattle is the best live recording I've ever heard.

yeah I agree with you about LATG, and TB2K should be watched by everyone, its fucking classic, I remember the first time I watched it (on video mind you haha, fuck I'm old!). I doubt this new dvd will top that

Looks like Pearl Jam are having a long break now, with the possibilty of getting back into the studios next april.....sigh

fuck!

They used to put out cds every two years! Now this?!?!?

I guess it's down to them wanting to spend quality time with their families...........which we could forgive.......maybe hahah

This is the Temple of the Dog thread, not the soundgarden thread. If you want to talk about Soundgarden please use the Soundgarden thread. Even though both bands share the lead singer, if you start mixing together the threads than I might merge a few threads together to create a Chris Correll super-thread

know what I'm listening to right now Jacob.........Hunger Strike, fuck this is a good song..........we need a TOTD reunion soon

  • Author

Sounds good. Lets figure out a setlist, consisting of their entire catalogue of songs.......All ten of them!

haha

hahaha sounds good! considering they dont have a large catalogue of songs, I reckon they would add covers to the setlist to make up for it. or perhaps new material? hmmm

  • Author

as well, guest performers, including Ben Shepherd, and Kim Thayil haha.

  • Author

As well, would it be asking too much to get a good three hour concert out of them? Considering their 10 song catalogue? haha

3 hours, yeah might be a bit much. what about the standard 2 hour show, is that even asking too much?!! hahah

  • Author

Eh, I guess two hours is good enough. If they pull a Green Day and only play for like 90 minutes though, I'd be pissed. haha

well Reach Down is what, around 11 minutes long? maybe they will do an extended live version, that would kill some time haha

  • Author

As well, if Eddie could open with Stone just doing Footsteps acoustic, and then slowly build into a jam session that will then lead into Times Of Trouble, that would be a good 15 minutes right there.

actually,...thats a fucking cool idea, how good would that be! I like your way of thinking Jacob, you might as well organise this whole thing, you clearly know what you're doing haha

  • Author

My hand in marriage, you know you want it. hahah

Yea, I'll be Temple Of The Dog's manager. I'd be like "Eddie, heres what we're going to do. You're going to play Hard To Imagine." And then Eddie would swig his red wine and be like "Yea, yea, I'll do it"

And then at the concert, he'll totally forget to play it, or play Evenflow instead. hahaha

  • Author

Also, I'll have a sitdown with Chris when he's talking about writing the followup to his "smash hit" cd Carry On. I'll give him a pen and paper, and then show him how to use the on/off switch on an amplifier and be like "when writing music, I want this damn switch to always be in the ON zone."
