neither. I want to be successful and to know that it was meant to be, not that my wish created the circumstances. I want to attain success through effort, not apathy. because if I am apathetic then I will believe I am everything I am not. And I don't want eternal beauty because I don't want people looking at me for my looks alone. I also don't want to be distracted by myself. though I wouldn't mind being more handsome

Yeah, I'll go with neither as well.

Neither of them sound all that great to me. I just want to be Emily, and get the things that I want through hard work. I also want to learn to be comfortable with how I look now, instead of wishing on being insanely beautiful.

If I have to choose, I'd say money and power. I can use them for good things that hopefully could change the world into a better place. :smug: If I want to use them that way of course. :D

money and power... it destroy people, is our main problem today...

people get into a dangerous circle, looking for those two things all their live and don't realise that it detroy themselves... life have better things than that...

 

i just prefer to be a good person every day and help the people that is around me in the best way that i could, make they smile again, offering my shoulder when they need to cry... i enjoy more a nice talk than other things... at the end what matters is how we behave

I couldn't have put it better myself.

With Money and Power, you can of course have Beauty. However, I don't think i would spend that much money to become beautiful like most movie stars do. To be only nice is suffisant. There's no need to become a real beauty, what for ?

yeah, if I was shallow enough to pick one of these greed options... I would pick eternal beauty because it can earn you some money and power. Unless you could only have one or the other for some crazy one or the other reason.

 

But neither is something that could make me happy. But that wasn't a compensation offered for choosing one or the other, huh?

if i had to choose right now, i think i would choose money, then i would be able to help to solve a loooot of issues with this our planet earth.

yes i would give money to everyone who honestly is trying to make this world better. i would donate money for researches about diseases and stuff, and i would help poor countries, building hospitals, houses etc., i would help with food, medicines and more in case of a natural disaster and i also would give money to social causes, such as abandoned children, single mothers, physical and psychological abuse in families etc etc etc etc :wideeyed:

 

i would do a whole lot of things!

 

 

and of course, a new pair of shoes wouldnt hurt me :wacko:

I'd like to do all the things you mentioned. See, the thing is, 'power' is considered to be greedy or self-obsessed. But many people of the world want the power and money and status so they can actually do something for the world. Because realistically: can any average person really donate millions of dollars or commission the building of schools and hospitals in needy countries? In order to do such things they need the power, and although power can psychologically do harm on a person, it can also be seen as a way to actually make an actual difference; an actual addition to a world that is progressing. Encouraging people to do it is one thing, but actually putting your ideas into works, it takes some power.

I agree with you, that's why I choose money and power if I have to make a choice.

 

But most people soon 'forget' their good intentions or plans once they got money and power. I'm sure many of world/country leaders or successful businessmen had the same thought when they fought to be a leader / a rich man. I live in a third world country and I've seen many leaders here promising that they would do this and that for the better, but what we ordinary people got? Nothing. It's all only promises and promises. :(

 

Humans are so easily to get tempted to be greed when they get the chance. It needs a powerful person inside to stay true to his good will (or good heart) and make it done. Fact.

 

So if one of us here one day really have money and power, please don't forget to pay forward all the blessings that you got to other people in need. Then the world might would be a better place with better people. :nice:

It's sad how something like power, something that was such greatness, can really turn ugly. Most of the people that have this privilege need to get their heads out of the clouds and realize they really need to take advantage of the power, and put it to good use. Instead of pointing fingers at others, help the ones that are affected, and try to build things up again. You have the ability, do it, ya know?

Please don't get me wrong. I'm not pointing fingers at others. I'm just telling what happened here with money and power. Just want to share. :( Trust me, I do my best to help other with my own way.
