I was inspired by the movie 'Amélie' to create this thread. What are

some of life's simple pleasures that you enjoy so much? Ones that might seem

so minuscule, but make you smile or feel happy? It doesn't have to be this big thing,

maybe it's something that you do everyday, or something that only happens once

in a blue moon. Anything is possible. Whatever you find joy in.

 

I actually filled pages of my journal with simple pleasures. Here's some of mine:

 

~The smell of morning dew at 7 in the morning.

~Listening to my fully charged iPod.

~Being careful not to step on all the pretty snow in the yard, because I want it

to be kept looking new.

~First sip of my tea.

~Cloudy days. It's like the blank sky is my canvas, and I can look out the window

and dream, my imagination has no limits. It's so peaceful and beautiful. I love

cloudy days at home.

 

 

Some of mine might sound weird, but that's the beauty of your simple pleasures.

It's YOUR simple pleasure, it's something that makes you happy.

Delicious, but not so good at this time. :P

 

Kinda solves my annoyances at the moment. And if I still feel crappy, I eat more. But yes, food itself is such a pleasure. I don't just eat to live, I live to eat!

getting the newspaper

a new book

plucking my eyebrows :uhoh:

when my phone rings at 3 am and it's someone important :blush:

and more, when i recall more nice things, i will sure post about it :nice:

-Giving a hug. As simple as 1 2 3... but so good to feel the warmth of the other :nice:

 

-Lying on the grass under a sunny weather.

 

-Eating. I couldn't agree more.

 

-Watching the sun rising and setting. It always creates a special atmosphere.

 

If I think of anything else, I'll post it.

Well, here are some of mine: :wacky:

- Eating an extremely delicious tuna sandwich (made by me! :D) while watching a show or a movie I very much enjoy.

- Rediscovering a band or a song.

- The fresh smell outdoors after it's stopped raining.

- Taking a walk in the rain by myself or with a dear friend of mine.

- Having a great laugh while hanging out with a bunch of friends.

- Eating a banana or a green apple.

- Watching a beautiful ending from a movie.

- Staring at the stars and the moon at the middle of the night before I sleep.

 

Those are only the ones I can remember now. Hehe, as you can see I have a lot of them.
