Are you a vegetarian?

Featured Replies

I know, I'm not a vegetarian yet. It's just hard to totally stop eating animals all at once. obviously fish are animals as well, they feel pain, they have emotions, they are intelligent, the way they are caught is terrible for the environment. That's why I'm going to stop eating them, and then I'll be able to call myself a vegetarian.

I don't know if you realize that I wasn't talking about you but people in general. The way you just said/wrote above seems like you took it like I was attacking you somehow, I'm not. I was just making a comment about how many times I've heard all those same views and people saying the same thing but then they don't back up with what they just said or believe in which just makes them look all 'talk'.

Okay, I understand you weren't trying to 'attack' me (hehe), I was just trying to make myself clear because my first post was somewhat vague. I totally get what you're talking about, I know a bunch of people like that.

Good thing we got that clear out :P

i couldn't live without meat

My friend (^his name is Justin too!) once decided with two of his friends to see how long they could be vegetarian, just for the heck of it, so it lasted I think one week 14 hours and 32 minutes, then they were in a restraunt until they just kind of looked at each other and all ordered the biggest, juciest steak they had :P

I couldn't be vegetarian... I really enjoy meat

^Same here.

There pretty much would be no Filipino entrée I could eat anymore... haha.

And that's a no-no, I <3 Filipino food.

same with chilean food... too much meat I guess.. but I like it..

Do chickens count as vegtables?:pleased: I figure anything as dumb as a turnip = food.:P

I´m a vegetarian, I´ve been one for more than a year now and it´s been quite good, actually I feel better with myself as well as physically. Although it´s been hard sometimes because I did enjoy the taste of meat and people here in Uruguay LOVE meat, but in the end it´s great for me to know I´m not killing an animal and that I´m doing something good for my body.

Vegetarians

^ Yay for you xim! :) I'm also a vegetarian, and have been for some 3 years.

*Coldplay have made me feel proud to be a Vegetarian! * (but were not the reason for becoming one.)

So, as many of us have heard, some people consider themselves vegetarians yet they eat fish... well, I have a bunch of Pet Aquarium fish.

Their little bulging eyes are actually very endearing so it would be hard to know that I'm eating a relative of them

(but I don't like the smell or taste of fish anyway.... :P)

but everyone, go ahead eat whatever you want. It's your life/food preference ....

They have made me feel proud too!

My stand on vegetarianism is that, feel free to convert to an non-natural diet, but don't try to convert others with you.

:dozey: I think being vegetarian because Chris Martin, Alicia Silverstone or whoever is, is quite stupid.

Being a vegetarian is not about not eating meat because you can.

^Yeah I mean even if you really like this celebrity you don't have to do every single thing he/she does if you don't believe in it! I don't want to be a vegetarian because Chris Martin is one! Maybe they're setting a good example or w/e but, you know...

what david said

oh and i've never met an eastern european vegetarian

^I'm Russian and becoming a vegetarian ;)

:o Yeah!! I just don't live in Russia... :P

You wanna learn some Russian??? :P

I am Croatian. :P

Ruski jezik.

Devočka :D

Okay, tell me something! I want to learn :nice:

Okay let's start with some basic stuff (I don't know if you'll be able to see the Russian letters):

Hello - привет or Privet

How are you- как дела? or Kak dela?

What is your name- как вас зовут? or Kak vas zovut?

Goodbye - пока or Poka

(that's all pretty informal though, formal hello and goodbye are a lot longer and harder to pronounce :P)

Yes, yes. I can see them.

So...kak vas zovut? :D

Great. :)

niicce

Меня зовут Аня.... Menya zovut Anya (Anna).

Kak vas zovut? :sneaky:

Menya zovut Kokoška, ali je sem Miro.

ih menya zovut natalya

i'm not croatian or whatever language you're talking in but with my ukrainian knowledge i do know what's going on

although i imagine an english person would too

edit: i looked at the page before and realised it was russian

privet etc

i'd much rather say dobreden

Mene zovu Miro. (Croatian)

It's close enough.
