4th Album - Album Title

Featured Replies

What do you think, what will be the title of the 4th album?

I was thinking about this and i came to the conclusion it might be "42", since it's gonna 42 min long. I think this title would fit the record because they said it was gonna be short, homogenic but a whole.

I'm just guessing...

very possible, after all, they've always has a "title-track" in their albums.

That is an interesting concept for the title, but I think they'd get a lot of flack from "haters" for choosing something so abstract. Fans, no doubt, would find enough meaning to love it.

Of all the song titles given so far, this one does seem to be the most likely choice for the album title. Can you imagine releasing an album called Leftrightleftrightleft?

Another thought - what if they simply call it Coldplay? After all, they do intend to make this "the album people will remember them by".

Well I'm throughly convinced the title will be called "42". Along with everything the article mentioned.

1.There were supposedly exactly 42 songs that were made candidates for, or originally missed the cut for X&Y.

2. Coldplay has always had a "title track" in their album, if you will look back at the tracks parachutes, a rush of blood to the head and X&Y(I believe most of those tracks were named after their decided album title and not the other way around).

3. It's probably the only announced track that wouldn't sound downright stupid as an album title. By dint of X&Y's minimalistic yet contemplative and suggestive name "42" works in perfectly.(better than "Yes!" anyway)

The article's not working for me, but I do know that 42 is the number of Life, The Universe and Everything in the Hitch hiker's Guide to The Galaxy. So it would be a very cool title.

I still say that since they're called Coldplay, and this will be their fourth album, they should call it Fourplay!!:laugh3::wink3:

I think they'll call it 'High Times'

I think they'll call it 'High Times'

lol.

High Times Magazine might be a mite annoyed...:laugh3:

Yeah, honestly, 42 seems the only logical choice. Leftrightlefright sounds like it might fit, but 42 is just suggestive and mysterious enough that it really would fit. Assuming that it would have to be a title track, that is.

REVIVE!

i don't think it will be prospekt since that is not a song title... 42 makes more sense

I think, they well name it (42)

I guess, that well be a great title....

LeftRightLeftRightLeft (Hispanic theme)

Prospekt's March

42 (Fourty Two)

Cemeteries Of London

I think itll be called one of the titles that were blacked oout from Prospekt Journal, was it 4 or 5, Mabye they have 4 or 5 titles to consider as the album title.

i think it' gonna be prospekt..

but i'd like 42 or leftrightleftrightleft

there are 2 very probable names : "42" and "Prospekt". Nonetheless in my opinion the better one is 42
