Reilly
Everyone gets a bit angry, but most people cant express it without looking like a tool. Yeah lets be honest. I dont mean violence of course, but passionately expressing how disrespected you feel from another person. Do you express your anger properly? Or do you run up to a person furiously, red faced, and just end up murmuring some pathetic pointless rant which makes no sense and somehow ends in you apologising in the same sentence? I dont get angry often, but when I have a reason to, I let rip. But the last time I did that was quite a while ago, and I was sortof angry the other day at someone but I almost felt embarassed to bring it up. Im very concerned. Today Im pissed off (as my posts could suggest) and I plan to let them know about it, so I hope it goes according to plan :nice: On another note, dont you hate it when you want to be really angry with someone but then they churn out a valid excuse? It should be a relief, but it isnt. PS: For the benefit of those who can read, no, my topics dont always have an obvious question or method of answering, try thinking a little here and there. Petit Prince
i cant express my ange properly to be honest, mainly because i dont wanna cause an argument. i often try not to react if someone annoys me but if the same person does it several times, i tend to overreact
Reilly
Its tough, indeed. For some reason I think Europeaners and South Americans seem to be much better. Spanish, Italians, Greeks, its like their language was designed for them to just roar at eachother. In fact sometimes theyre having friendly arguments, in their language of course (None of which I understand) and it sounds like theyre going to kill eachother. Im waving the flag of Envy on this one chaps.
busybeeburns
Sometimes I envy the Europeans as well, all we see these days in the UK is people using their fists (or knifes, guns, glass shards, pint pots etc etc) instead, which usually means they've already lost a reasonably good argument. That, and they're pissed up ;)
Petit Prince
so true... i've got family membes in italy and they sometimes shout at each other and get proper angry but afterwards the whole thing seems to be over while most people here wouldnt speak to each other for days. swiss people are particularly bad a this

Petit Prince
i dont think its the language though, some english speaking people can express anger, i guess its just northern europeans (and probably americans) that cant
ColdMike
i cant express my ange properly to be honest, mainly because i dont wanna cause an argument. i often try not to react if someone annoys me but if the same person does it several times, i tend to overreact That's the same for me. Actually, I should that was the same for me. I was used not to expressing my anger. I was used to keeping inside of me and holding gruges against the person who made me angry. Now it's not the same. I think everything changed when I started driving. I dunno if you feel the same about it, but driving has that strange power to get the anger out of you. That particularity started showing up more and more in my everyday life, and now, when something or someone makes me angry, I'm quite unable to control that and everything gets out. If I can control that anger, I don't talk to the person I'm angry with. I'll keep being silent until the person or I break up the silence. But usually, I won't be the one who will apologize first. Reilly
Yeah Mike, I do like driving when Im really angry. I think its one thing that people never really understand, when I get angry and have to leave, they think Im driving somewhere, when Im not, I just cruise around for a bit, listen to some loud ass music, and after a 20min car session, so much more calm. Today Im pissed off (as my posts could suggest) and I plan to let them know about it, so I hope it goes according to plan :nice: On another note, dont you hate it when you want to be really angry with someone but then they churn out a valid excuse? Odd how these two paragraphs were together, as thats exactly what happened. And yes, I hate it.
RICK8
I very rarely let it out on someone, even if it the person is right there, normally i would limit it to body language rather than verbally. I tend to keep it inside also, and hold a grudge....
Lera
I guess I'm more a silent sad-secluded-self-torturing kind of person, but if I'm really angry, that means someone really tried to piss me off and I can get a bit hysterical. I remember when I was maybe 11 or something like that I got so mad at my cousin that I just yelled at her. Not like, normal yelling, with words and stuff, like 'SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU BITCH!', no. It was just a cry, like 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' right into her face. You know, the kind of screaming you'd like to make standing on the edge of the cliff. I think she thought I was insane or something, but I really felt better. And I believe I did it here and there a couple of times later. But this is my extreme behaviour. Screaming is good. :nice:
Best u Can
i'm usually quiet when i'm angry. but if it's someone i care about a lot and i care about what's happening i usually say something. recently i've TRIED to start waiting until i talk. but it doesn't always work. however i'm pretty good at keeping my mouth shut with most people. sometimes though... it just comes out. i don't even realize what i'm saying or what i've done until the instant is over. I almost bursted out at someone recently and it would have been horrible. he was such a jerk, but i contained myself. we were playing a stupid card game and he was practically giving me a lecture on every tiny mistake i made. and i had just spent a couple hours with the guy in his car, riding up to the mountains and listening to his songs... and spent time waiting for him to do business stuff. and listening to him how he speaks to his wife and suddenly he's super nice to people at work got on my nerves. but i didn't say anything after he gave me that lecture. i think (not to him) but to the other guys it was pretty obvious how mad i was. I made a puff of anger for a second... because i was about to speak and I just KNOW my face was blood red... and that hasn't happened in years. WHEW I've been holding that :o

anna111
Usually when I'm angry it's more like something that eats away at my insides and I look fine on the outside even though I have all this rage inside of me... but when I get REALLY angry my temper goes easily and I'll yell and scream and throw stuff and cry... mandymcnabb
Honestly, I just fantasize about hitting the situation in the head with a broom or something hard, or pulling all of my hair out and stamping my feet like a lunatunic or just going nuts, nut I usually just sit and fantasize, never doing. :laugh4: I just sit quietly. But if its full fledge boiling blood anger and someones starting a fight with me, verbal debate.
Shaftell
I never yell to let my anger out. I just stare angerly or bottle it up...

However, I sometimes feel like I want to scream in that way, whenever the argument builds up to a point that I feel so helpless and would just want to have a big scream. And it has happened to me once of what I remember with a friend of mine. And oh my, what a feeling that was! It felt like this big weight being lifted away from me. hehe :nice:
