December 23, 200718 yr Author The DVD sets are around $160/season here. It's WAY too expensinve for me, even though I love the show. Frankly, I bought 2 of the boxsets and am trying to download the rest,lol.:sneaky:

But Chris Carter recentrly revealed to TV guide that it is set in the presant day, and that there are elements of Govt. conspiracy in it. COOL!!!!!!:D I'm not going to put any spoilers in this thread, but if anyone wants them, check out http://www.xfilesultimate.com. There's nothing there yet, but it will be a good source...and you can visit me there,lol. It's a super-friendly forum...like this one, only MUCH smaller. And a bunch of Vancouver-based fans are planning on posting any pics they're lucky enough to get on location.

Chris Carter said it's a stand-alone story with some government conspiracy, but it's not a continuation of the alien plot. There's already talk of a third movie in a few years that will resolve the overall story.:) And yes, that's from the new movie. It's kind of cheesey, but there are quite a few eps I haven't seen in years. There's a counter on the X-Files site I hang out on, and it says there re 153 days to go! And the best part is that rumour has it Coldplay may offer a song to the soundtrack...2 of my all-time favorite things in one place. I hope it's true.

February 22, 200818 yr Oh and great idea for rewatching. I wish I could do that. Maybe I'lll have my friend who has Netflixx, rent each season for me. haha. Because as of right now I only have season 4 and 5 on dvd and season 6 and 7 on VHS that I recorded myself, so the quality is awful!
February 22, 200818 yr Author The song is just an unconfirmed rumour,so I don't know. But they've said their new album will have a darker sound, so maybe it will fit. I still listen to the first one religeously, not because it's an XF shoundtrack, but just because it's one of the most brilliant compilations of songs EVER! I'm buying the seasons as I go. HMV here has them for $20!! And when I got seasons 1 and 2, they were the deluxe editions! I'm sure there's a mistake there, but that's what the guy sold me for my $20! I have a bunch on mixed up video tapes, but they're not in order, so this is easier.

Thanks for the update! I want to get the complete series on dvd... I saw it at best Buy for $274.00 USD!!!! Can you believe!!!!??? I only own the first season, with the pilot, on dvd... I use to own more episodes on vhs.. but I got rid of my VCR.. :( so I need to build up my collection. I also use to own the first movie... but I lost it at a hotel.. (long story) lol - so yes... I agree.... viewing all the eps is a must before the movie!!!!! ... and a Coldplay track too!! woah.. I can't wait! :nice:
