^are we sure its jonny?? i never really knew if it was jonny/will/guy or if they just multi-tracked chris's voice. same with the background vocals on "amsterdam." i kind of hope its the others, though--i love it when they sing.

I'm pretty sure it's Will who does the backing vocals with the 'ooohs' in the scientist.

It sounds like Will in the first place, but also when they play live he sings it.

I'm pretty sure its jonny becos if you listen to the voice on the scientist there is a deep voice in the background.......then listen to Don't panic and listen to when jonny sings the second verse very very similar

could be. i actually do think it's jonny...it doesnt sound like chris (almost too low) and will has a pretty high voice. i think will does the "oooh" part (or chris double-tracked), but there's like this really faint deep sort of hum that i bet is jonny. same with "amsterdam," but that i'm less sure about :\

and it's definitely jonny in "daylight" because none of the others can go that low!! its almost too low for me to hear (i'm hearing impaired)!

i hope the other three sing a bit more on the next album. i was kind of disappointed to find out that only chris and will sing the end of "fix you" on the record even though they all sing it live. i love a whole band singing together :)

i hope the other three sing a bit more on the next album.
I've thought about that, too. I'd like to see another member take lead vocals for a song or two, or possibly just a verse; the variety would be interesting.

I hear a piano in AROBTTH, am I the only one?

I think I know what effect you mean, it's electronic, it can't be the electric guitar

Now that you mention it, I definitely notice it; I hadn't realized it was there before. It's a nice subtle effect.

in both "i ran away" and "warning sign" there's like this really faint almost chorus-sounding noise, especially in the vocal-less end guitar part in "i ran away" and the "when the truth is...i miss you" part in "warning sign." i dont know how to describe it, really, but its like this very long, drawn out "ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" atmospheric sound thats almost like a very large chorus of women providing faint background vocals.

you all probably think i'm insane now after that attempted description, but i'd really like to know what that effect is if you can tell what i'm talking about. its probably a synthesizer or something else like that, but...does anybody have any idea what i'm talking about?

i also only realized that there's a piano in "green eyes" when i heard the instrumental version! i caught a hell of a lot of stuff like that listening to the AROBTTH instrumentals.

hey i just enjoyed parachutes again but here's the best part of it.......towards the end of trouble there is a faint guitar riff in the background. it is in the last 10 seconds of the track and you have to have your volume up kind of high but its very clear towards the end

I think in 42 where jonny's solo starts the instrument is a horn, for a while i believed it was his guitar because of the live shows

Strawberry Swing at the beginning you hear Brian Eno saying "It's a bit flat."

I forgot where I read this but in "Help is Just Around the Corner" at the very end, like right as the music stops, you can hear a car horn in the background if you turn the volume up. Supposedly they were recording this song a city and accidentally left a window open. Again, I have no idea where I heard that, but you can hear it on the end of the song if you listen for it.
