Alaska in winter

Featured Replies

I learned about them by listening to 'Close your eyes-we are blind', which Zach Condon from Beirut sings along in it. And so I downloaded the full album 'Dance Part in the Balkans' and loved it!! They have such a beautiful sound.

Btw, Julia, you may want to try out some Beirut. They are really good as well.

If you want any links to their albums, I'd be glad to help out.

Hehe, cool Brandon pic you got there! :D

Great band.

I found out about alaska in winter through its song Close Your Eyes - We Are Blind, which features Zach Condon in the vocals.

Dance Party in the Balkans is a great great album.

People, give this band a proper listen!

I've finally downloaded this album. I did know I had to but I never seemed to find the time to do it...... I totally loved it.

The first idea that came up on my mind when listening to The Homeless and the Hummingbirds was "they sound like The Real People", a band which I'm especially enjoying at the moment.

Favourite song: Balkan Low Rider Anthem. Both the piano and the violin sound so great together that I feel like crying.
