I suppose he could be better than I'm imagining.. but I wonder about former KGB heads - I was happier with Borris Yeltsin - he was a drunk, but his heart was in the right place!

well the flag you saw, the black eagle in the red background is what we used up until now, and that remains our national flag, but now we have a new official flag (state flag) which is this one:

Personally I'm not that big a fan of Putin.

 

But I do see how they could see the whole Kosovo thing being a threat since there are so many unresolved conflicts within the country right now. Places like Chetcnya (sorry for the bad spelling).

 

I think Canada is undecided about the Kosovo situation because they are worried that a place like Quebec which has been threatening to separate forever may follow suit.
