There's An Old Saying Around Here...

...if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes.

Nova Scotia is right on the pinpoint where several different weather systems or regions or whatever collide, so it's always changing. And it's a penninsula, so we get very island like weather to begin with.

But right now for the last two and a half months, all the change has been is snow-rain-snow-rain-snow-rain-snow-rain-snow-rain-snow-rain.

It's pouring rain right now. I can't take it anymore. My head is going to pop. Just like this guy :bomb:. I can't remember a winter quite this miserable with quite this many storms. I'm loosing it. I need a break. The cabin fever has finally gotten to me.

Make it stop. Please make it stop. I'm begging.

GAHHHHH! :bigcry:

Embrace the rain. Go out and get wet with your friends then walk to somewhere warm and get a hot chocolate

Not a good idea- the last time I tried that while recovering from a cold (like I am now) I literally nearly caught pneumonia. It was awful. And it's only a couple of degrees above freezing last time I checked. And I live in suburbia so there's no where to walk to, just more houses.

Thanks for trying though.

Aww, it's below freezing here too if that's any consolation. I finished work at ten last night and couldn't get into my car cos it was frozen shut.

Maybe have a fun indoor day with your friends then, tons of wine, chocolate and ice cream and maybe a wii and films.

Mimi, thank you so much for trying, I appreciate it. And I don't want to sound rude or difficult or ungrateful, but you're making me feel worse.

There's an awkward point in university where all those new best friends (and most of the old best friends too) graduate, or at least move on. Happened so fast I never really saw it coming.

Most of my friends are currently abroad. Several are traveling in other countries for the next year or two. Quite a few have moved to other provinces for work or school (including my ex... it's why we broke up. durr.) Several others have gotten married or at least moved in together never to be heard from again, especially the ones who have had kids recently. Even when we've tried to get them to come out they're too busy with their new lives to bother. (Sounds silly, but when's the last time anyone's heard from Crystal around here? Stable relationships do that.) The few who are left have exams and work and never any time anymore, so I'll probably have to wait till spring break providing they don't go travelling then. (They usually do.) Even my own siblings fall into those categories- married and busy, or abroad.

And I'm the one left behind with no money (so no going out not that I would alone anyway- I'm too shy and nervous) and no idea what to do with my life. *sigh*

I hate ruts. I hate ruts in February. They make everything seem worse. Especially when it's raining. Raining and too cold to go out in it.

:cry2:

Oh I 'm sorry, shall shush now :(

Goodness I was in a bad mood when I wrote this. :stunned:

Note to self- if you inexplicably feel this bad, there's probably a reason for it. My cold relapsed, and I woke up with bronchitis the next morning. :sick2: And no, I didn't go out in the rain.

I think it was my body's way of telling me something was very wrong.

Really sorry for snapping at you, Mimi :embarassed:

^ I know... finally a really good day, and I was too sick to appreciate it in the slightest. Go figure.

That stinks you keep getting sick.

I've been slipping in and out of a cold quite a bit since Christmas.

I think this weather just gets everybody in a funk. Its just so miserable. Add that on top of midterms with school and its just no fun.

^Yeah, welcome to the wonderful world of looking after toddlers. My niece and nephew stay in the church nursery ONCE, catch all the other kids' colds, and give them to me. And then it happens again.

Sorry you're feeling under the weather yourself. Nothing like a bit of midterm stress to make everything worse.

Luckily I wrote my last on this morning. I still have classes to go to the rest of the week. But nothing major that will make my brain hurt.

Reminds me of a saying here in Michigan.

_____You often switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.____

You didn't snap at me :)

Hope you feel better soon.

Just in case anyone didn't believe me about the weather, there was another big snowstorm last night. :dozey:

I guess the real question is, how long before it rains again?

Spring. Please. Soon.

Just checked the forecast, you're close- it's supposed to rain Wednesday.

yabooo

I wish we had the snow on Thursday instead. I was supposed to go skating or sledding with people yesterday but instead we were forced to hang out indoors which was fun regardless.

Whoa! How cold! And i was bitching cos its so damn hot over here

I just got home from the beach and i'm still melting down gah :disappointed:
