i think the hunter saved her and her grandma .

how many versions are there

I don't know that version! Does the story involve William Tell or Robin Hood? :)

I found versions with صياد, that I think I can translate with 'hunter' and some with فلاح, which is 'farmer' or 'countryman' as far as I know (please correct me if I'm wrong)...and somewhere I found a reference to a حطاب or قاطع الأخشاب, which should be the 'woodcutter'. I just need to know which is the most popular, cause I need a version of the fairy tale to include in my thesis and, since there are many, I want to choose a popular one. (I'm looking for it online, so if you know any good website or such it would be also good.)

Btw, thank you sooo much for your help!

no . just a little girl and one sorry wolf :D

your translation is correct .

unfortunately , my only sources are my mother and [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ArPZp8wn3c&feature=related]this old cartoon [/ame]which seems to explain the nightmares that i used to have :D

glad i could help :)

Aw hahahaha sorry for your nightmares but...this is very funny!

Anyway a few other people (well...two to be honest) answered with 'hunter' too, so I think I'll go for this version and wait for my teacher's response.

Thanks again!

اذا كان فية احد يسمعني :D كل عام و انتم بخير و عيد سعيد

happy Eid every one :)

*bump*

Just thinking about Palestinian Statehood. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states clearly: Article 15.

  • (1) Everyone has the right to a nationality.
  • (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

So I believe Palestinians have a natural right to their own country, and I wish my own country would recognize this right and support Palestinian Statehood.

The US depriving UNESCO of funding is stupid; I am glad UNESCO has chosen to recognize Palestine, and I am supportive of UNESCO's efforts to protect and preserve these precious gems on earth. UNESCO World Heritage Centre

And let the Palestinian people have their right to their own country, it's long overdue!
