God, these are amazing. The top one is beautiful, and I love the concept behind the second one as well.

Love them, thanks ;)

I'm expecting to be straight out of the new website with the splashed paint and faces. A nice change from the plain black, white or blue backgrounds of previous albums. more colorful.

This is a blown up picture of the image on the slender fungus posts, the 'hidden website' had this as a possible album cover

Just a random thought, perhaps the album art wont have the title on it at all, but a sticker or written on the spine or something.

I was thinking that to..

Going for the completely visual route, I like it. And the tracklisting on the back cover will of course be handwritten, a la OK Computer.

In fact that is one of the only things I'm sure about this new album, that the tracklisting will be hand written... maybe even in Chris' own hand writing!

^good point. they seem to like the handwritten stuff these days...i just hope we're able to read the tracklisting if it's in chris's handwriting!

i'm hoping for something kinda like the new website screenshots..i like the use of the primary colors. i count X&Y as colorful (also probably one of my favorite album arts ever, for some reason), but this just blows that out of the water, color-wise, if it's to be part of the new VLVOD album art!

My guess is that it is the 'Viva La Vida' painting Chris saw that inspired the album's title.
