I mean as real life close friends who you can depend on for stuff. They usually just let you down.

My best friend is the whole world is a guy, maybe he is that great cuz he's a bit older and has been through a lot... I really can rely myself on him.

Some guys are jerks but I've been lucky cuz my male friends are really nice.

in my experience, guys are more likely to let you down in matters that don't really have any bearing on life in the long run. my guy friends are more likely to bail on plans or be really disorganized and forget things, but i've found that when things really, really matter, they're more reliable. my girl friends tend to be more likely to keep plans and remember things, but aren't as reliable when things really go wrong. they tend to be more flakey when things matter.

 

then again, this might just be the nature of my particular friends, and not guys or girls in general.

yea, it's not good to generalize I guess, just for the most part (in my experience), guys suck at the important things

Ahhh. After one year I can't say I've made any friends with guys but got a bit closer to some of those I see on a regular basis. :)

I love my guy friends, I can be myself around them :D
