I go to an all-girls Catholic high school, and trust me, 99% of the girls there are easily catty to an EXTREME ;_;. Which is why I found my own bunch of freeky friends, but still... today our group was just sitting at the start of this line of the seats in our mezzanine (theater-thingy)... three girls reluctantly sat in the same row. Nobody else. That is how bad it can get.

 

The problem, however, is that all of the guys my age have the same issue. Well, not catty-ness.... but they see girls as their trophies. I'm no feminist, but it makes my blood boil.

 

...the sort of guys I often become friends with are like a small percentage of the 18 and over population :laugh3:. No thanks to hormones for making my usually some-what normal crush on one of them rather haywire, but I'd still like more guy friends like that.

Oh my. I can't believe things like that can really happen - i thought it was just in films!! :o

 

But on the other hand, for girls at your age is pretty normal that they're like that. they all want to be the coolest and have the awesomest friends etc, and boys aren't any better :D They're in puberty and who thinks about getting a serious relationship? no one. but there can be exceptions *wisenod*

 

having older friends in this case is better ... but you gotta make sure they're not just "using" you. ;)
